Hello Dear DTG-Stuff and community members, I've noticed at my last LIRR-service with the iconical M3, that you can't open and close the doors for the passengers if ATC and the Alerter are activated. The only solution for this problem was to deactivate the safety systems before closing or opening the doors and enable it again after closing/opening. At the following Link you can watch it: Thank you for hints or solving the problem in advance. Best Regards
I had the same problem and found the solution in this forum. I hope it works for Playstation too. Leave the door operation button behind you "on". No need to switch this off. For closing the doors, the combi-lever must me in "BrakeMAX" position ! And this has nothing to do with the Alerter, as I did not play with activated alerter. I hope this helps !
Interesting as I encountered a similar problem yesterday evening. Started a Journey run in the M3 from Penn, but was unable to operate the doors to close them either with the pop up, keyboard shortcut or standing up and physically inserting the key etc. Safety systems not enabled but got a feeling I had moved the control lever to Step 1 or 2 braking in readiness for a quick departure. Abandoned the run in favour of something else. I will try it again later and see if max brake cures the problem.
Yes can confirm the M3 doors only function correctly if you put the controller into max brake at each stop. Unclear whether this is a bug or an intentional feature.
