Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9:00 PM GMT on Friday, May 19th and will be judged by me - Craigie-C In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, May 21st, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. Theme for this week : The Sun Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.
The rising sun creates a glorious display of colours in the Austrian Alps as an early morning EuroCity crosses the Trisanna viaduct. Loco: DB 101 Route: Arlbergbahn
On a scorching hot July day, the sun beats down on the mountains of the Austrian Alps whilst an ICE 3 makes the daily trip from Innsbruck through Garmisch to North Germany. Loco: ICE 3 Route: Mittenwaldbahn
Route: Tehachapi Pass Train: BNSF GE ES44AC. The Morning sun beats down on a freight train heading for San Bernadino.
Route: Inseldbahn Train: DB pbzfka, DB BR 155 The sun right in the corner like every children's drawing.
Hi, I have a suggestion. How about putting "picturesque railway stations" as one of the themes for the next contest? It should be smaller stations that catch the eye with the building or the area around the station. What do you think?
That's down to who wins this week's competition, as they choose the theme.. unless you are talking about the back up themes... but that's also down to who wins it, so when the winner is announced, message them and see if they agree.
A beautiful morning with the sun reflecting on the still waters of the Kingswear Estuary. Loco:- GWR Pannier 5700 Class Route: Riviera Line - GWR era.
A beautiful summers evening on the Riviera Line just south of Teignmouth. Loco:- AP Class 800 Route:- The Riviera Line
Hi guys, for some reason I am currently unable to login to the forum on my PC. Fortunately I am still able to post using my phone which luckily was already logged in. So in short as I only have a small screen to play with I would like to announce this week's winner is Pookeyhead for this amazing capture. What a shot, I would happily display that on any wall in my house. Congratulations. I will post the full results as soon as I can login on my PC again. Thanks to you all for sharing a fantastic set of images, well done all.
Arrrgh! I forgot all about this, and just went ahead and chose something else. To be honest, wasn't expecting to win, so just kind of put it out of my mind. Apologies.
You can still change it I guess, if you like that theme a lot. Mine is the only post yet and I merely choose some nice moody spring shots for the theme.
People may be already creating shots for it. Leave it for now. Anyhoooo.... let's not fill the thread with chatter please.
Regarding your post in the latest thread, why are you posting in a "Competition" when you don't want them included for judging? I really don't get it. May I politely suggest if you don't want them included as entries you either post them in a screenshot sharing thread for us all to enjoy, or follow the rules of the competition and enter your shots accordingly as everyone else does that competes. We all like to keep this competition thread free of chat and unnecessary posts so the judge of the week does not have to filter out what to include and what to ignore. Thanks
Congratulations Pookeyhead! Excellent screenshot. Sorry I did not submit in this week's contest, out of all the screenshots I have, I didn't seem to have one with the sun pictured in it lol!
Yeah !!!!! at last, back online and can login with my PC Sincere apologies for the delay in me announcing the full results, but DTG decided to throw a maintenance curve ball into the equation. Suppose better late than never I can now announce my results for week 20 as :- The Bronze medal podium is shared by:- Bellminsterboy, to me the trees at an angle in the foreground lead your eyes to the sun with the ICE almost immaterial well done and ........ I'm a railfan obviously moody, gorgeous lighting, just loved it. Standing equal on the Silver Medal podium we have .... paulc for this low sun MPV lineup and cscarpenter for this early morning GWR 800 shot on the Riviera Line. (must admit that stretch of coastline is one of my favourite goto places for a good screenshot) and finally as already announced my Gold Medal podium is graced by Pookeyhead for this amazing Wherry Lines capture. Many thanks to you all for making my choice of winners so hard. It is a genuine pleasure to see your efforts displayed and shared for us all to enjoy. Here's to next week. Many Thanks.
