Tehachapi Pass: Mojave - Bakersfield Route Add-On and South Western Mainline both 50% off until May 22nd
So those two plus a loco DLC that's been on sale permanently for months... Isn't really a summer sale.
No need to delete your post, Doomotron, as you were right. There is a Steam sale on at present and two TSCs routes are in it, as I mentioned earlier. I have purchased something in it too.
Steam Midweek Madness sale now on with upto 80% off on some add-ons. Sale ends 10am Pacific Time Thursday. https://store.steampowered.com/publisher/dovetailgames/sale/trainsimmadness2023?tab=2
Every time i get a few TSC addons, there is a sale the next day. Hopefully steam accepts the three refunds, got some RhB Addons yesterday and now they are all 50% off.
Steam allows you to refund and rebuy things that go on sale soon after you buy them, so it should work.
Two hours of playing the game (not necessarily the DLC you bought) or two weeks from purchase. he former *might* be remitted if it is the case the item went on sale within a certain timeframe from your purchase.
Ok so there are two similar sounding UK routes on sale I'm interested in, which one is the better/more complete of the two and should I purchase as it appears to me the former is more of this part of the rail network or doesn't it include the Medway section? Chatham Main Line: London Victoria & Blackfriars - Dover & Ramsgate Route Add-On or Chatham Main & Medway Valley Lines Route Add-On
Chatham Main and Medway Valley route is Victoria to Rainham + Strood to Tonbridge, whereas Chatham Mainline is Victoria and Blackfriars to Dover and Ramsgate but doesn't include the Medway Valley. Both routes have the victoria to Rainham section but then you need to decide between the extension to Tonbridge or the extension to Blackfriars, Dover and Ramsgate
If you go offline the timer for a refund stops until you go back online. When I say "offline" I mean totally offline (disconnect from the internet) not just offline from Steam. Play TSC in offline mode.
Depends what you mean by complete, both routes start at London Victoria and go their separate ways, both have Hoo Jct on, one goes south to Tonbridge, the other goes East to Dover & Ramsgate. If you have a look on Steam Workshop, Danny did some tweaking of these routes, can't remember if he joined them together, or, not, I know he dabbled with them, it's been a long time since I downloaded stuff of his, no harm in having a search, you could even get both routes in future Sales then you have the best of everything. I'll put the 2D maps up so you can see the trackage, etc. Cheerz. Steve.
I did most of the track for the Chatham Main Line (at least Brixton / London Blackfriars to Orpington / Herne Bay and Dover - and Catford Loop) - Although sadly i've not done much recently, mainly due to the lack of time and well someone else has decided to do the same areas, so that's put me off finishing mine.
This is a very good sale with big discounts across the board, have stocked up this morning. I was thinking I was going to have to wait until the end of June so it was a nice surprise when I checked it last night, spent most of the night planning which ones I was going to buy!
Apologies my terminology probably wasn't the best, when I said complete I was more wondering if the Medway version was an earlier iteration of the route and the one with Dover & Ramsgate was a updated version which included the Medway lines plus new content. So basically choose which one I'd prefer or, seeing as they're on sale, get both of them which is potentially a reasonable deal as it'll be cheaper than the Dover & Ramsgate version on it's own at full price. Also on the subject of different versions of the same routes, is there still an issue (going off of the reviews) with the newer North London Line & Goblin route not including the scenarios from the earlier North London Line only route and is there an workaround that doesn't involve buying the route twice?
Good point, I shall have to look into this as it's a bit confusing. I have the Class 700 add-on which is a must for CML too, which I have and was quite a recent release.
If you buy the Goblin Line first you will not be able to buy the original route. As they have different route IDs you will not be able to play scenarios for the other route. However, you can contact support and they will give codes so you can claim the original route free of charge. I did this for Goblin and South Wales Coastal during its original release.
Ok cool so just buy the 'double route' version and request the key, you'd think updating the DLC would be easier, but then this is DTG
If you mean the subscription package not including some content that is included in another subscription package, then that's how DTG configured it and not Steam.
I just bought the TSC bundle, I already owned the Huddersfield route the 142 and obviously the core game but for £19.99 I got the LIRR and Pegnitzalbahn which if bought separately at sale price would be £13.74 each and regular price would be £24.99 each. I know a lot of people have issues with the LIRR's fps but I was getting a mostly solid 30fps dipping to 20+ on heavier traffic areas, mostly maxed out graphics settings using 64bit + Vulkan so I can live with that.
Yes, this is the best way to do it. However, you may want to wait a little while and get one of the DLCs for the original like the Class 59 or Silverlink 313 to justify your request more. For both SWC and Goblin I had loco DLC I couldn't play without it and I mentioned this in my support request.
Got my refunds for the three routes i bought Monday and now ive got the Albula, Bernina Pass, Engadine and surselva Line, as well as RhB Enhancement Pack 1&3 for 15€ less than my original purchase. Was on vacation in Tirano Last weekend and did the Bernina Express (in the Allegra, as it doesnt have compulsary reservations and it has sliding windows) twice, so they are kinda Souvenirs.
If this would interest you? - a few merged routes that involve a few of the above swiss routes (aside from Surselva)- Steam Workshopanny (Merged) Swiss / Italian Routes (steamcommunity.com) and also another by Thomson Interactive (Albula and half of Bernina at least) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1518399331
Thank you, in fact, your merge was the reason i also got the Engadin line even if i didnt travel over it irl. I love big route networks and the missing link between Thusis and Chur would be awesome as a route, Rivet seems to do just TSW content these days but thomson maybe? Im also a fan of your german merged routes, especially Koblenz to Offenburg as its a route i travel along a lot. Again here missing link Offenburg - Freiburg when DTG?
I think Thomson has retired now (he was also part of DTG at one point and then Rivet, but aside from Glasgow Subway, hasn't made much more). - Although as for my German one - that's one i need to fix, so at the moment it freezes half way (basically it's on my list to "remerge" but it taking an hour to save the track, has put it on the back burner.
same as you with my fps I am not normally a fan of American routes but the commuter routes like this are right up my street and this one is really nice I enjoy it on TSW as well
LIRR scenery is nice, should improve FPS, then official extension DLC. Does this patch work? https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...hes/i3231-lirr-m7-scripting-performance-patch M3 lights through the floor.
Just tried it and in Penn Station with 3 (including my player train) I noticed a 3 to 5 fps improvement, whilst not earth shattering I'll taker any improvement especially when it's an easy file drop.
Although the DTG May Midweek Madness sale has finished which I didn’t spend much this time, but did get a locomotive and the Pegnitztalbahn: Nürnberg - Bayreuth Route Add-On. There is still a few 50% bargains on offer until May 29th namely: TSC German bundle; Frankfurt - Koblenz Route Add on and the Marias Pass: Shelby - Whitefish Route. https://store.steampowered.com/sear...&specials=1&publisher=Dovetail+Games+-+Trains If you haven’t got these, get them before the offer expires this Bank Holiday Monday.
I got 13 routes in this sale. Of course half are Great British Railway Journeys. How long will it take me to finish the career scenarios? Too bad some are not translated. I spent hours researching LIRR signs. How strange the signs is!
I expect there will be a Steam Summer Sale around the end of June/early July. Got a couple more TSC routes on the radar to grab if the price is right but Goblin/NLL, Woodhead Blue, Malmesbury and North Somerset will keep me occupied for a little while. Also grabbed the 4EPB thinking I could sub it on the NLL and pretend it's a 501 but, d'oh. the iteration of the route is post conversion of most of it to 25kv AC OHLE.
Steam summer sale begins June 29th and ends a fortnight later on July 13th. https://prepareyourwallet.com/
Saw this mentioned on FB so thought I'd share it here too for anyone interested.. SKTrains sale, up to 50% off and runs till 4th June. and it even includes the famous "Toilet Seat" train Spoiler https://sktrains.be/fr/14-materiel-...TSPRfsUBPka6kTDlXWjmkBawkkY2cgqp3TDdR_UP7RjEE
I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but how often does Armstrong Powerhouse run sales?
A really long time. I added the gbrj scenarios and here is what I got. Settle-Carlisle: 345 min = 5hr 45min ECML: London-Peterborough: 520 min = 8hr 40 min PDL: 345 min Chattam Main + Medway Valley Line + 59/2: 695 min = 11hr 35min GEML: 630min = 10 hr 30min
At Bank Holidays. Normally Easter Christmas and August. Discounts are 40% off everything that’s a year or more old. Newer stuff is 20 to 30% off, depending on the release date. I hope that answers your question rennekton#1349
I don't know about the included scenarios currently, but, I can tell you that Steam won't let you buy the same route/locomotive DLC pack twice, once you have obtained it and installed it into your library, Steam recognises this and won't allow it to be purchased again, so, don't worry unduly about this issue. Cheerz. Steve.
