Yeah we know, that's what the announcement was for.. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/free-french-content-for-train-simulator-classic.70439/
Actually, you listed one more free French DLC than DTG did. https://store.steampowered.com/app/443910/TGV_Voyages_Train_Simulator/ So thanks for that.
Obtained that and one other I didn’t have, thanks too to DTG, but still feel for those that have all the content and feel DTG would have been better introducing something for everyone.
I think that route is the same as this one apart from not needing TSC https://store.steampowered.com/app/376938/Train_Simulator_LGV_Marseille__Avignon_Route_AddOn/
I installed TGV Voyages, and what a weird thing it is. An isolated version of TS with no editor, and only the Academy and Marseille to Avignon. The game itself seems to be an unupdated version of TS2017. I never bought Great British Railway Journeys but I assume it's a similar setup there but with a different UI and based on a later version of TS. Later on I'm going to try adding other content to TGV Voyages, both DTG and third party to see what happens.
The Steam webpage says you can buy TGV Voyages and if you liked it you could buy the full game to add extra DLC I doubt it would work the other way round.
On the main menu there is a button to buy TS, but it's greyed out. I don't know if it's an error or because I already own it. The loading screens show the same ones as GBRJ, presumably they're being taken from the same server. You can indeed copy routes and trains from TS into TGV Voyages and they work as intended. It's worth noting that all scenarios are listed in one menu no matter if they're career, standard or free roam. A lot of people would like this in TS too, although here it doesn't give any indication of what type of scenario it is. It's actually really cool, it's effectively a preserved version of TS2017. On UKTrainSim there's a preserved version of RailWorks 2 available as a free demo. In fact if DTG Matt doesn't mind (I don't know if you're the one to ask but I will anyway since it's on your UKTS profile) could I upload NRM Christmas Card to the Internet Archive?
Per release date, TGV Voyages Train Simulator (v56.7a) is a standalone version of TS2016, even the loading screen matches... “RailSimulator.com" and “TS2016" are trademarks of DTG. A lot of people are complaining on Steam that the train derailed in this version TGV Voyages Train Simulator (v56.7a), I downloaded it to check, I also have the train derailed in scenario [TGV] 03. Avignon to Marseille Saint-Charles, I hope DTG is aware.
