No, this service does not terminate here. Well, it does for the player since this is Leicester, but the PIS message is wrong.
I arrive a minute early and somehow I'm expected a minute late while there's another train arriving on time at 10:13 :D
I guess is either this or seeing that the next train to use the platform will be there in 5-7 hours :|

Some things in the signalling certainly appear to have changed. I just had a correctly signalled approach to Derby, which I'd never had before. However, I agree there are still issues. I still get an AWS warning or bell at every AWS magnet for the opposite direction along the single line from Leicester to Loughborough. I haven't had a TPWS activation yet, but I see a report above of some still occurring incorrectly, so I'm not counting chickens yet - I may just have been lucky.

The issues may be missing data or still some outstanding issues. (I dont have my list with me here), as there are still some outstanding signalling issues to fix that we ran out of time for. They have been allocated to patch 2. It may well be though, part of today's glitch what you are seeing. I am being very honest in that we are not complete yet on fixes, but the route has come along an awful long way.

We didn't touch station PIS messages in this patch (although scheduled for the next). As mentioned up thread we worked in order of priority. Still a fair bit to do but we are getting there and not stopping!

Just thought that I should add that on the series s I have just had the TPWS activation at Mountsorrel sidings (I think they are the sidings near Barrow on Soar) towards Leicester on 1C24. My speed was 99mph at the time of the activation. In spite of this I am still smiling from ear to ear and proper chuffed with the update. Once again well done skyhook!

Will, I just wanted to thank you publicly for all you have done. You are the hero of the 158, thank you!

Gang, Will has put in an enormous amount of time and work on the 158. He has brought incredible realism and features to the simulation. He is one of the primary people to thank for the quality of the 158. Really proud to have him on the team!

Thanks Jane. The only thing I've come across so far is those incorrect AWS activations. It's great to see that so much has been improved, and there's obviously a vast amount of work gone into this patch. It's fantastic that Skyhook are taking the attitude of wanting to keep improving their routes, rather than taking a 'fire and forget' approach. I almost wished I hadn't bought the route 'Day 1' so that I could buy it in response to the patch and demonstrate that this ongoing improvement is appreciated! However, the difference it will make for me is that I'll continue to buy Skyhook routes on Day 1, as I know that if there are issues, they'll be addressed. With some other routes I've unfortunately had to take the decision not to buy until it's confirmed the issues have been addressed, as I've no confidence that will ever happen.

I also hugely appreciate the way you've communicated openly and honestly throughout the process - it's made a huge difference. Thank you.

thank you so much James, it means such a lot to me to hear this. We really do care. I am grateful on behalf of the team and grateful for the personal words for me. You have made my evening, thank you! It genuinely is wonderful to see your enthusiasm. It makes going to work really special to have these comments after a lot of hard work.

Indeed - the approach is identical either way. In fact, my employer trains new Drivers that there's no such thing as an 'approach control' signal. Every signal is red because you're to stop at it. Never get into the habit of expecting a signal to 'come off'.

In reality, psychologically, it's incredibly difficult to put out of your mind the fact that the last 99 times you approached that signal it was red, and cleared at exactly the same moment as you approached it! And that's how SPADs happen...

Tell a lie - no I cannot hear the Green light AWS clear tone. Something a little weird going on there. Can hear them outside HST though

That is really interesting, it almost encourages people to SPAD those signals when I think about it as it seems to create complacency.

jane-skyhook you may have already answered this, bit is there plans to add better scenery around Leicester Station? St George's Tower being missing is a big omission

    My only questions are
    1) when are you releasing the Class 222
2)when are you extending north to Sheffield?

Short answer is yes, we ran out of time for update 1, but we have a lot of scenery plans and other items on the list going forward. We are continuing to plug away with MML for quite some time yet.

    My only answers are

    1) We are currently putting together the plan as to what we build next with MML
    2) I love both of those ideas personally :)

Also explains why I’ve just found out that acknowledgment isn’t mapped to the ‘B’ button on the XBox controller! (It is mapped and works for AWS.)

Thanks Jane and good to know, but I'm really hoping basic corrections to signals like this made it into patch 1 ......unfortunately the patch notes infer that they hadn't made it,along with a raft of other important stuff, such as AWS corrections, approach control, TPWS....

Note the feathers are the wrong way round.

Love the work done on other aspects of the route and train though!

Thanks for this. On the patch notes, they are just a guide to some of the highlights with most of the fixes not actually listed. I didn't want the notes to be a novel. There are an enormous number of items fixed that are not in the notes.

There has been a lot of work on signalling and safety. That work is not finished by any means, but is continuing going forward, so we will get there. Please keep reporting what you see and it will always be added to the team patch list. A lot has changed, but I am the first to admit we are not finished on signalling and safety systems.

I genuinely think that guard feature is a breakthrough and totally new. We have the very talented Daisy to thank for that!

You have not read the list full Jane's fixes properly. That is Walter, the Network Rail botanist employed to identify and destroy poisonous fungi on the trackbed. The fungus in question is on the trackbed just to the right of walter. It strikes me you may have had a hand in placing it there !

    Some comments on the 158:
Good job with the simoulated guard! It be great to have it open and close the doors on its own in the future.
I'm happy to see the instrument lights now do come off and the interlock light working as intended, funny, Jane said it would be fixed this time and kinda made flip out.

Just a note, HUD speed limit shows the line speed limit disregarding the train's maximum speed of 90 mph. I'm curious is the AI driving the 158 at speeds above 90mph?

No sweat, the least I can do, in case my knowledge isn't as good as I though it is about 7.5 miles north of Leicester!
Haha you can't beat a good old SPAD trap, I must admit there's one inparticular that sticks out to me where if I wanted to I could literally give a countdown as to when it releases, in fact it is really hard not to, though I do manage to resist the temptation and see it as part of the fun. I know what will happen tomorrow now, but touch wood it hasn't caught me yet!

Just run the hst at night and there seems to be a lot of white light eminating from the grills on the underframe. Is this correct?

To Jane and all the folks at SHG, thank you so much for the MML improvements and your community engagement. Haven’t played TSW in a while but thoroughly enjoying a run in the 158.

Yes, I can confirm a “normal” approach into Derby on the 158. Much better :)

The two main TPWS activations are Mountsorrel down (but it seems to be random) I have regulated my speed to around 85mph through there and not “tripped” the grids but on some I have still, so it’s definitely service dependant I think!

Mountsorrel on the Up, only ever had it once on playing 43 services!

Just noticed that the internal lighting appears to do some rather nuclear things to passengers at night in the HST since the patch. I'm sure drivers would love a button to do this at times, but it's probably not strictly within the law... :D

I have a bit of feedback for you guys-
    Number 1.
Why this section, it would be better if it was the section from London St Pancras- Corby and we could still have the HST And the 700 and make a 360, I Have posted a thread about it and i thought it would be a better section to do Rather than this one, But thats all i have to say
With all due respect- No discredit To you guys, I personally think you have put in alot of time and effort into making this route, but i thought other members amongst me would enjoy the other section of it.
anyway, here is my thread if u wanna take a look and see what u think or if u can make plans : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/midland-main-line-london-st-pancras-corby.69796/

I have just gone and done a 158 service to Derby and oh it is much more what I'd expect on the approach. Also the buzz, buzz (a technical term of course!) is a very nice feature too.

Haha, it would be a button I'd love on friday evenings and when particular events are going on.

I didn't think the 360 and HST crossed over with each other, though I may be wrong.

This hud speed limit above train max speed is common throughout all traction. It’s maximum LINE speed. The speed limited kicks in at 93mph anyway so not really an issue

Purchased this today based on the patch feedback (and potential of future improvements / content).
Loving it so far and the guard buzzer is a game changer! It's such a simple thing but adds so much to the immersion.

I have driven the whole route with a class 158 and HST and all the improvements are noticeable from the physics, sound and additional scenery such as landmarks and amazing new bridges. Some, I may have missed before but noticed Nottingham University Veterinary college when passing through Sutton Bonington both old building and new one and brough back memories of being a cop out there based at East Leake.

With once being called to an incident at East Midlands Parkway where a guy had jumped onto a moving freight train at Long Eaton after an argument with his girlfriend and jumped off on the slow line as it came into EMP sadly his head hitting the rail as he jumped off and in a bad way. The most memorable comment was with four Nott's cops already on the up slow line with BTP on route from Leeds, the station manager asked me as I went over to them, if they should stop the trains!!

But is it going the right way? Before this update it was going towards the front of the train, totally against how it should be going

Just attempted the 2K29 10.11 Matlock-Newark Castle. Game crashed just entering the speed limit change down to 50 slightly before going via c line just as you approach Nottingham. Ps4 user.

Heyyyy, was digging through the route files and found this rather colourful formation tucked away. Any context as to what it is and why its hidden away?
