    Hey Jane was wondering if you have a breakdown of services. I know in total they are 246 playable services, 90 for the 158, It says 105 for the HST but don't think that's correct because not sure if it counts the 6 and 8 car together. Then I'm only showing 6 freight playable services not sure if that's correct. .

    There's also some other layers which I don't know off the top of my head since I don't have the route. I know one of them is the rog37.

    Was able to complete the new final Journey scenario- a nice night-time HST run- so MML journeys section gold starred. Really enjoying the changes/fixes. Thanks SHG team!

    off the top of my head as not at work, ROG 37, Class 66 RHTT, Class 66 EWS, Northern transpennine Peak.. A few more which I will check once back at my desk.

    jane-skyhook There's a minor issue with the 158 from before the patch that I would love to see fixed at some point: all the internal automatic doors are open by default and need to be manually closed.

    The AWS is broken, I just got a AWS penalty even though I was in the cab and I didn't even here it go off I think this might be a bug.

    can't remember if I have said this already but the HST coaches are still all labeled A
    I don't know but I think the EMT decal still floats on the 158
    the bridge before redhill tunnel is still floating afaik and the spans are still hollow I noticed watching Train Sim Tv's stream before the update (he pointed out a lot of things you may not have noticed so you should check it out) and Megasim's video which is after the update
    Thank You I do hope to buy this route soon just been waiting for these Post Release patches

    As I wrote yesterday, on Xbox Series X there is heavy stuttering all around Long Eaton. You can experience it at 1 mile approaching Long Eaton coming from Derby, but also on the other branch, approaching the same location and/or Ratcliffe power station. I saw that on a British Ace video too, but it seems less noticeable on PS5 and PC. jane-skyhook , could you please investigate that? In general I like the route so much. Thanks!

    Might be worth giving the service number and some details of where and when it happened. The more info you give the more likely Jane at SHG can help. If it is a bug you may need to log it on the other forum.

    Are you sure it's AWS rather than TPWS? You don't get a warning before TPWS triggers; it's activated by the "grids" in the middle of the track.

    Crashes on PS5 2 miles outside Leicester when doing a Nottingham/Derby to London St Pancras service. (HST).

    This is easily repeatable, and would have been noticed had DTG made it mandatory that the game is fully tested on all platforms

    One for Jane and the team at Skyhook.

    TPWS activation (possibly my error) and Crash to Desktop outside Nottingham station.

    Service: 2K89 2112 (Matlock) Derby - Nottingham (Newark Castle)

    Unit: Class 158

    Weather: Custom, Clear

    Month: June (8th)

    Issue: TPWS activation outside Nottingham at the TPWS grids before the further set of TPWS grids associated with the signal on Line C Speed was 39mph there is a 25mph PSR shortly and signal was a single yellow, maybe I was going too fast? But I thought the TPWS issue had possibly been fixed here?

    After resetting and moving forward, the game crashed on crossing over the pointwork just going into Platform 6 at Nottingham.

    I had played this service prior to the update and had had no issue before.

    The doors are now awful on the 158, it takes 10 seconds for them to shut and a further 10 seconds to register as having done so.

    Actually, that's as intended. It's a more complete simulation of the Guard's duties, which require him to keep the door he's working from open until he's checked that the rest have closed without trapping anyone. You should notice the buzzer signal at the end of the sequence.

    Because if you spawn on foot at 9:15, the route clears straight away.
    When you select the 9:19 service, the route is locked for the HST. So it's not a timetable design, it's a bug, most likely with the core game over the route itself.

    'Dead easy for you, maybe, but for me, I didn't recover the time until the end, which means that you don't earn the gold, and I'd rather play a service and get gold than play a 'realistic' one, not get the gold and feel like I wasted my time.

    Maybe for you, but I don't like this feature.

    If you watch outside, it's actually because 3 doors close, then the guards one. It's stupidly long.
    I now close them half way through the timer otherwise I'm late leaving and it's annoying

    1C11 Sheffield-London St Pancras. So looking at the timetable you have a 10 car HST with head code 1C11 leaving at 06:03:00 and you have the 8 car HST with the same code leaving at 10:00??     Yesterday I made a night run and I really did not like the nuclear glow of the HST cars. The light is very bright and breaks through all the cracks of the car. This needs fixing.
    I'm missing an external camera view from the cockpit of the HST.
    Failed to complete last service 158 in travel mode. At the penultimate stop before Derby, the train arrival marker does not work.

    That's how it's intended, it's life like. The doors on the 158 have always been slow opening.

    Just a couple of things I am wondering about,
    I decided to have a look at the timetable service 6M93 Dagenham to Hope empty cement train due to leave Leicester at 01:39. Upon spawning into the sim, there was no tail lamp fitted to the train and it was not possible for me to place the tail lamp manually.

    Shouldn't I be able to place a tail lamp manually when one is not present?

    Secondly I spawned into timetable mode On foot and set the time to 01:35 at Leicester and the cement train never appeared Despite my waiting for around fifteen minutes for it to show up.
    Don't freight trains appear on schedule when the player enters the timetable in walking mode?
    I'm not sure if this is by design, a bug or if I am doing something wrong that stops the train from appearing.
    I am running the steam version on PC

    Loving the way this route is going! I know it’s set in the 90s, but how about a “Classic Diesels” scenario pack like the Westerns on GWR? (I know it’s a bit weird seeing them under wires, and OC is completely different, but it’s still nice to sort-of step back in time and drive out of Paddington in an old blue diesel!)

    Seems that there’s a bunch of assets already available in TSW that could be adapted/re-used in MML - imagine signing on at TO, the shed packed with blue 08s, 20s, Peaks, mebbe the odd visiting 31 etc.

    47s and 45s on passenger services, mebbe even a flying banana HST reskin, perhaps a new DMU?

    Double-headed 20s, add a new 56 or 58 loco to the pack for freight scenarios and that’s Blue-era MML sorted…

    Maybe not everyone’s cuppa, possibly too much overlap with Manchester-Leeds, but that’s what I’d personally love to see on MML - the 56 especially :)

    I have been absent from the forum recently, so 2 things:

    1. Can someone confirm the exact figures for the timetable expansion AI, and Service mode services please.(Xbox Series S)

    2. Why are the HST's 5&6 car formation (not 7 from what I've seen)?

    For a while, we had 6 car buffered HST sets, aka the ‘Angel sets’. These were ex-Grand Central HSTs and were with us for a short while.

    They technically use the wrong HST model for it in game (should be a buffered MTU HST) though I suppose it’s better than nothing.

    No that is called realism. it is to simulate guard interaction. This is why they have noticed boards and announcements saying ‘train doors will close 40 seconds before departure time in real life. See the video. At least 15 seconds from buzzer going to actually departing.




    This one is 17 seconds after the passenger doors have closed before it moves off

    First, I would like to note that, despite my previous negativity towards SHG and Jane, I have now bought the route. Given SHG's track record, I wasn't sure they would deliver on the promises, but seems that isn't the case anymore. Good job (or rather, it would be once you guys un-bork the patch's release). Looking forward to seeing all the improved scenery and such, once it downloads.

    Does "urgent" mean "will be included in the 'imminent' patch to Patch 1" or "will be included in Patch 2 in however many months"? I mean, you got my money already, but stuff like that really makes me think I should've waited a bit more. It's not like this is an easily-missable service buried somewhere in the timetable, it's a scenario. Supposedly the curated-est of the curated content the route has to offer. And if it's bugged in a way that prevents completion, that's really not good.

    Another concern is that one of the Steam achievements is tied to completing all scenarios. Does that mean the achievement isn't obtainable either? I understand most people here don't care about stuff like "achievements" and "medals," but this is still a video game. So if there are mechanics such as medals and achievements, they must work properly. And judging by this thread, they don't.

    Any timeframe for the "fix to the patch," btw? It's been "imminent" for days now.

    morning all, thank you for your reports above. I have logged them with the appropriate teams.

    In terms of hotfix, I am still waiting for feedback. Everything is ready to go, it is just sorting a slot. I have no control over that.

    Patch 2 will be done in very short order and certainly will not be months hopefully :) We want to move on to the exciting new content, so like yourselves, want everything solid first.

    I find it amazing how the devs give a working virtual guard routine and people start complaining that it takes too long. Do you guys work for the dft or something lol

    Amazing feature, I really hope the 323 will have the same.

    It seems some want realism except when it irritates them! I like the feature. It would be nice for it a) to be back ported if possible to other routes and b) the next step to be the guard closing the doors also (or the passengers where applicabe), which for me is still the biggest barrier to realism regarding train despatch on TSW.

    really enjoying the route so far. The 158 sounds a bit like a lawn mower I owned a few years back, but it´s a fun drive.

    Could I kindly ask you to confirm what stock from what routes layer into MML, so that we know what must be installed in the TSW3 environment to get some more traffic going?

    Jane, Any ideas on all services + AI included since you released a patch, is there a breakdown of freight, passenger and the AI that you could please provide me ?

    I agree. It’s supposed to be a SIMULATOR yet we get people moaning about not being able to shoot straight off the line, and not getting little gold stars…. By all means criticise if the unit has some inaccuracy like coach lettering being inaccurate, wipers not working correctly etc, That’s part of normal game improvement and progress but I take big issue with people moaning about ‘more realistic’ features. Call me pedantic, but I’d like the unit to behave as close to real life as possible, as it stands, I personally think the class 158 is one of the best and most realistic units in the game to date.

    Haven't played the new system yet but I would ask the following:
    IRL the guard won't be waiting til time to leave to close the doors, and the entire platform procedure should be complete BEFORE the leaving time
    If the guard in game is waiting until departure time to START the departure process then this would not be typical, indeed it would cause issues on the timetable as people need to "rush" to get to the next station on time

    When I'm operating the doors I will generally start the closing process between 8 and 10 seconds before departure time, meaning I set off when the timetable says I should
    Many stations in the UK have signs saying "Doors close 30 seconds before departure" and this does seem to hold true, so the guard in game should be doing this.

    As I say, I haven't played it yet so haven't confirmed, but that's how it SHOULD work in my view
