They said during the June livestream they would have more updates in the July livestream. We only know power changeover is going to be a thing and whatever was in the roadmap article but everything else we will have to wait for.
They didn't say anything about a tutorial (it's pointless anyway), they were asking about the feature itself.
imo it rlly aint pointless because they said in the article before a riot kicks off they added ac and dc, which implies that players could enjoy the 700 on different routes while using ac, and you never know players might not know how to power change and could get stuck on getting to switch to ac, so imo i rlly dont think its point less, and please b4 u say ur opinion pls start with imo, because you always say it like its facts to shut down peoples idea's , i know thats not what ur saying but in future people might come across it as that.
[Edit - Jan - Quarrelsome] I didn't present it as fact - although it is. There is no (current) opportunity for players to use the power change over in any Route's timetable mode. Scenario Planner doesn't count. P.S. - I am allowed to disagree with your opinions. It's called "an opinion." [Edit - Jan - Language]
As I said in roadmap thread, I would expect GSM-R to be included. I'll tell you something that's pointless- all these abbreviations in this post. I mean for the sake of not making me (and I am sure others) decode your paragraph no, sorry sentence, if nothing else. Also surely it is obvious that it was an opinion so there was no need to say it was. If that means what google says it means I find that quite funny. Anyhow I don't what this thread to go down any further so will end on a high: I think that power changeover is being included because I think we will see that ability used in the future, and not the too distant future either.
If it starts with "get" and ends with "you" then yeah, Google's right. The Power Changeover will be included the same was the 387's was. It's not, however, used in gameplay (yet), so no need for a tutorial like Child/Troll Folup keeps banging on about. Also here's a decoding of Folup's paragraph: "I think it isn't pointless because they said they added the feature, which implies that [then Folup states the absolute obvious]... and because some people won't be able to figure it out I think a tutorial is a worthwhile feature. Also, don't you dare disagree with me." Is what I'm getting from it, at least.
Haha, yes Google is right then. Very funny and clever actually. Yes, I wouldn't imagine it would have a tutorial (yet) as it really wouldn't make sense, I mean in reality it's not even a complicated thing to do either. Thanks for decoding it, I did have my mourse code book out and the mourse made more sense than the post so was a bit stuck!
where is the imo, you left that out to prove your point, so yes i am gonna disagree with you, and its not a crime to since your always doing it to me and i am also allowed
i strongly disagree with you but ok, it did look like a fact to me, it really isnt a fact imo, what your telling me is that if there is no need for it then basically the ac functionality is pointless and useless when it really isnt
Even though some players think a power changeover tutorial should be included or not, I think it should be included. It's easier to include as a short tutorial than to go through a 1hr+ livestream to explain something simple. For something more complicated, then it can be a livestream, but for something as simple as a power change, it doesn't require watching an entire Livestream to watch. Plus not everyone will watch a livestream Just my opinion.
ok your point is, im not crying im just trying to porve my point thats all Your Point is? Will i use it in scenario gameplay Yes simple as so stop saying bs, not everything has to be timetable gameplay you know
The only reason DTG would need to make it is if they make a scenario where you take a 700 on HS1 or something. Even at that, the scenario itself will probably guide you through the process, so would cancel out the need for a distinct tutorial. You complain and moan about me "not respecting your opinions"... Rather hypocritical.
Why do you have to fight with people everywhere you go if it’s not discord servers it’s now here. Grow up! oh I forgot sorry for the edit IMO
Tbh the GSMR could be like the one with 313 and just turn the brightness up and down but we will have to wait and find out.
We better ping Network Rail to unify the electrification scheme across the UK, before a civil war starts over where the Class 700 will / will not be able to run
No, the reasons why DTG is it is because if they didnt, there would be loads of blacklash as implied in the roadmap article and, another reason is that it would be realistic, all 700 are dual voltage you know, so your basically implying that you want a DC Only 700, which is VERY Unrealistic, and besides, in scenario planner, it doesn't tell you how to power change, and you dont know for sure that it will tell you how to, because it is not released yet, and to prove my point, here is a video of me power changing in the 387, This is also my video as well, and if u watch it, you can see that it dosent tell me to power change , and besides i know that off by heart: so your point is invalid sorry.
Right, I'm not going to say this again. Please keep it civil folks. This thread has been derailed enough, It would be a shame if I'd have to close it because of constant bickering.
dtg_jan Can i please have your thoughts on this thread, Do you think that a power changeover tutorial is necessary
I'm talking about the need for a tutorial. NOT the functionality. I can't help wonder: should I laugh at this thread or just quit feeding you? For the record, Jan. Mr. Folup has quite he reputation among the wider community as a bit of a... unlikeable... member. As inferred above in the thread. So it's hard to discuss something without it devolving. (Granted, I'm involving myself in it and I'll take the blame for that, but point stands)
fine, fair enough, but still it doesn't take you through the process, of it as shown in my video, and also, you cant expect everyone to know how to do something, thats not how it works, not everyone is familiar with the 700, and for the record if u think i am an unlikeable member then why talk to me, gives me the impression that youre obsessed with me, if u dont like me, then get over me, (Respectfully) But thats all im gonna say
Ok, Your point stands, i accept that, Your point is that a tutorial should be included in a scenario thats absolutely fine, but from the way i viewed it you looked like you were being very blunt about it sorry bout that
