how about London Commuter , East Coastway and West Coastway can be merged together. An extension to Ashford via Hastings and Ore. And also to West Worthing. Used by the Class 171 Southern , Class 387 Gatwick Express , Class 377 Southern and Class 313 Southern , Class 700 as a future DLC. My Favourite Train in the South Coast of England is the Class 171 because of the NIR Class 3000 slim design
what are you even trying to say. And excuse the hell word. I don't appreciate that on my suggestion. And the East Coastway really needs an extension and it will be lovely to have in game
I am trying light heartedly say I couldn't think of anything worse than more commuter routes. I really don't know how ECW would benefit from an extension as nothing new or different would be added unless you include the turbostar which would be better off in a route away from the south east. I was just giving my feedback on your suggestion and just happens that I couldn't think of anything much worse than seeing this added. It's not anything personal again you mate.
Hell isn't a bad word. Besides that, Matt is just sharing a (popular) opinion - that 3rd rail routes have been done to death and we need a break from them. I wouldn't particularly disagree with SWR or West Coastway, but I wouldn't see much need for an ECW extension, personally. It's a nice short route and it does the trick. Neither of our statements are personal, just based on interests.
Well yes, but it would bring many of its own challenges. Mergers aren't possible in tsw. Also it would be really resource intensive at the moment. Bml is already unstable as is which is preventing content from being added or upgraded unless it goes through optimizations so I don't see it being merged with anything.
Oh goody, another suggestion to extend the ECW to Ashford! Irony aside, the rural line between the Coastway and Ashford is boring, has one train on it, no freight, no means of future expansion in terms of gameplay and no heavy or even medium industry now or in the past that would bring anything to it West Coastway is pretty similar apart from that you have two branches off to Bognor and Littlehampton, but at least past Ford you get some other traction types and service patterns that aren't "STOP EVERYWHERE!" If they make another third rail route (which I hope they don't for a long time, and I live in Kent so everything here bar HS1 is that big bar down the side) then it should be SouthWest or South London, but as I say not for a long time Do Manchester, or York, or Cardiff, or somewhere with no electric at all... And if they're going to make a network, no idea why they would center it on Brighton... Redhill would be my choice for a hub network off the BML with lines going up to London, down to Brighton, East to Tonbridge and West to Guildford. Different companies, trains and liveries operating out of one network hub and not all of it dragging a shoe alongside
It might be a bit of fun with a Thumper, but an overpowered whisper quiet 171 is about as much fun as driving the Kia Sportage to Sainsbury’s. Actually the Kia probably gives more enjoyment.
Do you mean ECW Eastbourne Ore and Hastings Line with 4CEP 4CIG/VEP? If yes you unlock the BML NSE era with the 4 CEP being the front section while the rear are 4CIG/4VEPs via the ownership of ECW Eastbourne Ore and Hastings line 1986
It is good not to take criticism personally on these forums... I know that from experience. I, and many others, will have put a lot of time and effort into making a detailed suggestion to avoid detection from the "more info please" brigade, but I do understand how it feels to have all that work dismissed. I have also requested the Marshlink line although Ashford International would be the central station and you would be able to drive to Dover via Folkestone, Sandwich, Canterbury, Ramsgate, Margate and Eastbourne. It simultaneously has new lines and bridges the gap left by the incomplete East Coastway route. All of my suggestions are very much focused on Kent and East Sussex, apparently another "unpopular" area looking at other posts, so I try to spice them up a little with ideas that have not been seen before. This has included setting the Ashford suggestion in the 1930s when the Golden Arrow was in its prime just before the Second World War, and suggesting that the next London Underground route should be set between 1880 - 1949 so we can use older rolling stock. Just keep making the suggestions of routes that you want to see, you never know, they might just catch the eye of DTG and make it into the game.
I don't think they're unpopular, but with SEHS, BML and ECW all being third rail electrostar filled routes people are suggesting that maybe other areas of the country should "get their turn" and we might get some decent traction on those routes so we get a similar level of completeness as with the Kent and Sussex routes. I live in Gillingham (Kent) and really do see it as a boring place railway wise, given there's only four types of trains that come through here in service, no matter how busy the timetable
More than what I get. All I have coming through my local station is TPE with 185s to Cleethorpes/Liverpool (if they aren't cancelled like what has been happening lately) or Northern with 150/2s towards Doncaster.
