GLOSSOP LINE Another Line with missed potential other routes could have been added, Maybe it could have been done better.. At least Manchester Piccadilly will be added 323 329 at Gloosop on the 1314 Hadfield to Mancheter Pic If the line from Guide Bridge to Stalybridge was added onto the route we could have Trans Pennine services on the route with class 68 Class 185 and class 802 possibly driving them at least to Huddersfield Big Cat 68027 at Stalybridge on the 1248 Scarborough to Manchester Pic (via Guide Bridge) I am glad Manchester Piccadilly as been added but would this be a true representation without a Pendolino or Voyager in the station , I always see at least 1 or 2 of these trains in the platforms when I go , I do understand that it probably wouldn't be possible to have everything included tho 220 017 At Manchester Pic Having worked the 0846 Bournemouth to Manchester Another possible extension that could be added is the line from Guide Bridge to Rose Hill, you could have a class 195 included to work this service 195010 at Guide Bridge on the 1421 Mancheter Pic to Rose Hill I Would have really liked this route in the Woodhead era with the class 76' s and class 506's but I doubt that was ever going to happen I suppose we will have to wait and see if we get any extension to the route, probably not
Thanks for agreeing we could have had class 25 class 40 and class 47 working on freight trains at Guide Bridge too . And also you had the loco depot at Guide Bridge at the end of the station with double Headed class 76' s going in and out .You could stand at the end of the platform and watch them .I think this would have been more interesting than the modern day I suppose at least we will get Manchester Piccadilly in the game
At the least they should have included the Marple and New Mills etc. lines form more of a local network. Having done a couple of the Class 506 scenarios twixt Glossop/Hadfield and Piccadilly on Woodhead Blue in TSC, it's really nothing special - BCC might have been a one trick pony but at least it had a bit of length to it.
.I travelled the line about a week ago its pretty boring really once you leave Manchester. The dinting viaduct is probably the only exiting thing ,, you get good views from it.It needs some more routes added like Guide Bridge to Rose Hill or Stalybridge like I mentioned or your suggestion New Mills . It is good to get another Northern route so I don't like to criticise but it need to be more appealing
