This will not fall into the suggestions category as this won't be intended for that, especially with Focus Entertainment buying DTG. What would it be like to have the Southwest Chief on Cajon Pass as a layer on, not a separate DLC? I actually don't know what correct category this would fall in, as I don't want it in suggestions, Off Topic is the only one for me. Anyway, this would have finally introduced the P42DCs, the Viewliner Baggage Car, and maybe all variants of the Superliner. No other locomotives included, especially for those chargers because of so many problems they have. I know this could only give us two timetable services and a couple of scenarios, so why not add in the old Amtrak Desert Wind train? This could finally give the use of the three stations on Cajon Pass and maybe new slots in Scenario Planner. All four of these journeys can take two hours across the whole route, so expect that. But yeah, this would be fun for all of us as it introduces new Amtrak equipment instead of driving the same old NEC equipment since the TSW2020 days. As for me being a console player, I am stuck with this simulator and now I'm looking forward to buying a new laptop that can run other railroad simulators like TSC and Trainz 22 for their long distance Amtrak equipment that is included in those games whether as a layer on or a DLC.
I'm pretty sure I didn't answer my original question, so sorry for that. And also every sentence is one line apart so I hope that it is more readable and not crammed into one massive paragraph like I did on all of my previous posts.
Well, if DTG were to introduce a western-US Amtrak consist (diesel traction with Superliners), it would be useful on just about every mainline route. But I could only see it as a separate DLC which layers in, because in most cases outside the NEC Amtrak only runs one train-pair per day, and sometimes only two or three weekly.
