Specific details about the issue may help such as the train, service, journey mode or timetable mode etc.
It depends where your spawning your service. If its at London Victoria then yeah it would crash. But that only happens with what console or pc type you have. I've done what you did before on pc and I didn't crash at all, not even lag. So it's probably what your using is causing that problem.
Xbox series x lags coming out of victoria 20 fps for about 10 mins. Dtg have never fixed this. London commuter plays poorly for most of the route on series x. It's a shame I love this route.
I have Xbox X with all layers and never had issues with London commuter. I don't have any mods or any creator club content so not sure if that helps.
