Bonjour j'espère que sur l'aura des trains français, des annonces en gare et si chef de gare qui donne le départ ?
We always end up like this around this time of year whilst work is ongoing on the usual large summer update. I will be surprised if its TSW4 after only one year, but won't put anything past DTG at this point. Let's hope they announce something soon, I forgot when it usually occurs.
As long as this supposed tsw4 comes with a proper UK AC route, ideally with the 700, then i’m all for it, but that’s just my opinion.
TSW- Announced early June 2018 TSW 2020- Announced mid July 2019 TSW 2- Announced early June 2020 TSW2: Rush Hour- Announced early May 2021 TSW 3- Announced early August 2022
The 325 was made just for the Royal Mail so yeah its only worn that one livery. They are dual mode 25kv or 750 dc. And sound lovely at speed. Hentis
You do realise that the entire purpose of them being a *for profit* means that making money is their primary goal, right?
Last Time I looked Dovetail were a business. They create a product to sale to a certain aspect of people who like said product. If they don't make money from products they sale then they won't be around for long. That practice of selling stuff and making money has been going on around the world for hundreds of years. Welcome to the future. Wheres the rolleyes when you need them?
I was referring to the Rush Hour update for TSW2. On Xbox it required a full reinstall to get the game running. On PlayStation, players weren't so lucky. Likely because of the weird way the PlayStation Store is set up every single DLC became unusable for days (possibly weeks, it was a long time ago) and the main routes were barely playable until a patch was quickly released. For some reason I defended DTG during this period, which I wouldn't do again. DTG's way of fixing the issue was seemingly to recompile each route, and this means that every player before Rush Hour has duplicate DLCs in their library and possibly downloaded too. Yes. I was giving TSW a hand there, as technically RS and TS are separate games made by different developers (with both being available to purchase to this day), but in practise they are the same game. While the base red never changed, the Royal Mail stripes were removed later on some or all working units. Mechanically they were Mark 3 EMUs, being closest to the 319s but have an improved cab design based on the Networker units being built at the time. While the Networker was already the standard passenger design at the time I assume they went with the Mark 3 base design as a working dual voltage Networker hadn't been built yet, and in the end never was (365s are not dual voltage units in practise). The 325 was designed to be able to be converted to a passenger unit later on, with the doors replaced with standard passenger ones and presumably a bodyshell design that allowed windows to be cut into them like on Mark 3 coach conversions. I assume that had the 325s had this operation done to them the process would have been very similar to the Class 460 luggage coaches converted into standard passenger coaches.
The correct path for this one is actually waiting for the development team to release it and announce. Remember JD announced TSW 3 last year you might as well wait for him and the development team to say it officially. Base routes might be Germany to the Netherlands Hollandstrecke Duisburg/Bochum-Oberhausen Emmerich am Rhein Grenze Zevenaar Arnhem Utrecht 202 km basically an international version of Southeast high speed where you must change voltages. UK WCML over Shap or Northern Rail Calder Valley Line US LIRR Babylon and Main line reworked Deluxe Edition Union Workshop China Railways Hong Kong Guangzhou 142 km.
Let us remind of the innocent days as, along with the announcement of Rush Hour, Spirit of Steam also got announced. And stupid young me actually thought, that this would mark the release of three steam routes across the three standard countries. Just like Rush Hour. Oh boy had I been excited about the german and amerian content that I hoped would come, once the british would have been out and cleared the way. And oh boy was I dissapointed when I found out.
Just saw this thread and didn't think much of it being a reality until it was pointed out that the people that leaked it are respected and why would they waste time on a niche game? And the other point is why haven't DTG denied it? When someone suggests a route or something usually DTG come in the thread and say 'We have no plans' or the like. So for arguments sake let's say it is true, what could it be and how does that leave the player base with their collections? I don't think it will be a UE5 release as that would mean starting again as far as routes would go and that would miff a lot of people. Imo it is more likely a .5 version like TSW3 was to TSW2. It will be core updates, perhaps they have fixed Rush Hour or lighting or even some routes and they will call it TSW4. DTG have a money grabbing reputation but I don't think even they would release routes now and then have a brand new game in September where everyone will have to buy new routes. My only thought really is how will it affect TSW2 owners? Will they be able to upgrade straight to this core updated TSW4 or will they have to buy TSW3 first? And will TSW4 be free? Again going on DTG's history I think not but assuming it is paid for what will come with it? I wonder why DTG like to do this secretive stuff? I would assume most TSW players have reached double digits in age so it would be nice for DTG to come out and discuss what they are planning to do no? Maybe hoping for too much there.
I'm happy with 3, well kind of. It's not perfect, certainly not on PS5 but it's getting there. I already feel short changed on TSW3 though if I'm being honest as a transition from 2 I was expecting more. The fact that the dlc price has gone up with only minor improvement is a bit ridiculous also putting the price up on previous dlc that was cheaper last generation is just mean. Nah I'll pass if indeed it does happen, which no doubt it will. The old cash cow needs to be milked.
I haven't seen many updates of late and dlc seems to be less frequent. It's almost inevitable in time.
I'm still a big fan of the older routes just enjoyed a run on Oakville. For me an underrated route. Runs like a dream on next gen.
Yea have to also mentioned the complete statement, comment…… “TSW 4 is coming you heard it… is official……much in the same way PS6 is coming and then probably PlayStation 7.” So I would take his comment, statement with a grain of salt……….he’s just having a little fun.
I am a spammer? Moving on, if DadRail has “blabbed” then I suspect he won’t be an Ambassador or favoured recipient of pre release copies for review purposes, much longer.
Scenario planner is awesome. Can create some good scenarios without too many issues. Considering the complexity of the game and Unreal licensing where royalties are due, I think it is only fair to pay for a decent upgrade. TSW3 is gorgeous and deserved to be a paid upgrade. You buy the game on face value. A lot of people wouldn't be here if they didn't enjoy it. For those that don't and hope to someday see it become 'perfect' or get to your standards, well if money could be raised to hire more staff I guess they could achieve it quicker. For those that want something free all the time, the best you'll get is the sales. You can get stuff for under USD$10. And Bakerloo line is amazing. Oh and LGV French high speed route which is one of my favourites was free back in May. So DTG are quite generous even though you will never hear that from some here. Rumours are a new editor is on the way. Australian route. American freight by the end of the year (my speculation mostly but there is a pattern that seems to support this) or in the 3 pack core release/upgrade. British route WCML or similar mainline. For me it was a dream come true to have the Kassel Wurzberg route come out last September with almost 200km (186km) of route length. Some did complain about the lack of detail but for me at 150kph or above it is quite generous. Cajon Pass is amazing too. SEHS is by far DTGs most popular route and Spirit of Steam won acclaim as well although it had some bugs. For the high complexity this is not unusual. These guys and girls in the UK that do this work do an outstanding job and more often than not do not get much appreciation from those of us who really enjoy the content. Thank you DTG! 3d modelling aint easy and putting together applications to run train sim world aint easy. If it was everyone would be doing it. ROFL
Considering how limited the scenario planner is I'm surprised you can say that unironically. The best TSW scenario made in the scenario planner is an average Train Simulator scenario at best, solely because of how few features there are to play with. No weather, no freight loading and unloading, very limited paths to use, no use of portals, etcetera. Sorry but this is utter rubbish. There is no universe where the upgrades DTG have made to TSW have ever justified a paid upgrade that players have to do to get fixes for bugs that shouldn't have existed in the first place, or access to routes that are not much better than the ones released five years ago. DTG are not generous in TSW in any way. Remember that DTG have been releasing yearly upgrades for Train Simulator for free since it came out. TS now is a significantly different game than it was in 2009 - a completely new lighting engine, new weather simulation, volumetric clouds, advanced scripting and more have been added to the game for free. And in other rumours, pigs can now fly. And the evidence for this is... Where?
Of course TSW4 is coming, he didn't say when. We all know it's coming. Same as me saying the PS6 is coming. Sure it is, but when.
