Br 182 And Dbpbzfa From Trailer Still Traction Locked, Should I Buy More Dlc On Steam Summer Sale?

The BR 182 and DBpbzfa combo was the entire reason I wanted to buy and play TSW3 (I have an N scale model of that exact train) and months after I first found out about it not working, it is still not fixed? Am I doing something wrong?

Would it be a mistake to invest in more TSW3 products? I was recently in England would would love some GWR trains like I rode but if they are going to move ahead with new products without fixing old ones I'm not sure I want to buy into this any further lest I run into further game breaking bugs.

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong and there is a way to clear the traction lockout.

 

You can't with the rapid transit dostos. Driving the 182 works fine. If you have other dostos, you don't get a traction lock

Maybe it seems really nit-picky of me or something, I but I love double decker trains and I love driving trailers. Not being able to drive from the trailer on this train has made me not play TSW3 at all.

Is this kind of issue common? I may not test all my DLC within the return window for Steam and I don't want to get anything more that's essentially useless to me...

 

It can affect other routes but in specific situations. If you are driving it properly, you won't get an issue. For example, loading from a save has a chance to make the 72 stock lose power. Stopping in nonpowered rail means your 72 stock gets stuck so you have to restart it since no power. Going into emergency on some US diesel and freight locomotives can result in the locomotive getting zero power. You can get rid of traction lock, but your engine becomes dead.

 

go to technical forums and post the issue there. For the Doppelstockwagen try getting an RSN Riesa-Dresden Main Spessart Bahn Vogelfluglinie Hamburg Lubeck Puttgarden SFS Hannover Wurzburg versions. That way DB BR182 also known as OBB Baureihe 1016/1116 doesn't get the power lock

 

I have Main-Spessart, Dresden-Riesa, Dresden-Chemnitz, Hamburg-Luebeck, Rapid Transit and the BR 182 loco add on.
AFAIK the only option I get for playing a dosto driving trailer 766.2 with BR182 is the Rapid Transit scenario. I admit I am a little confused by all the options in this game, what are the various ways with the DLC I have that I could use the combination I want?

 

DB Baureihe 182 comes with 767.2 dvt for RT. Not 766.2 which comes with Main Spessart Bahn Nahverkehr Dresden Tharandter Rampe Vogelfluglinie Hamburg Lübeck Puttgarden routes. Thanks for the explanation

It would not be a mistake to buy more DLC. That one train combination that doesn’t work will not spoil your enjoyment of all the other trains and routes on offer. When I first bought TSW2020 on PS4 one of the things I was most looking forward to was driving the Class 47 on Northern Trans Pennine. To my dismay, it was broken and severely underpowered, so utterly unusable. It took a whole campaign of bad behaviour by some members on the forum, over a long period of time, to get DTG to fix it… but in the meantime I enjoyed plenty of the other great things on offer.
