Mods are no good for us console users to be fair. If they sold a FGW HST I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Fair point. It's unfortunate that you guys don't get the same options and community support that PC players do.

 

I guess we’ve got to be grateful that DTG is even bothering with consoles at all. That’s a true rarity with realistic train sims. I don’t think I would’ve ever gotten properly interested if this was only available on PC. They’ve opened up the genre to tons of players.

How accurate has the leaker been in the past? It certainly sounds plausible...

Found this as they leaked the release date for FIFA FC and lots of the gaming sites have picked up on it, assuming it is likely true

 

Yeah, and looking into it he's correctly predicted tons of other stuff as well, and TSW is far too obscure a game to bother faking something for views. Welp, looks like my boycott of TSW will continue.

Translating the page to english, it didn't say it is gen 9 only. It said it is gen 9 only for tsw3 which isn't true since it also released on last gen. I wouldn't look too much into it since dtg still have not said anything about it

 

and DTG won't say anything until they announced it officially. same as last year

 

Regarding the newest LFR Patch:

"Mode indicators should now display 500Hz properly"

Pretty sure it doesnt in the Br103. Came to a standstill at a station with the 500Hz active because of a Hp0. When it went into the restrictive mode it still was only the 85 indicator and the 500Hz indicator lit up. On the HUD however the 85&70 indicators were blinking correctly.

 

I'm not too keen on the idea of a TSW4. It better be something truly transformative, to justify having to pay full price only a year after TSW3. If not, then I'd hope they do it in the form of a free update.

 

So going by the article, again I'm aware this is all theoretical, as much as the person behind the information is apparently credible but I do not know that for myself, previous DLC will be available. If I understand the way game engines work correctly, doesn't that mean then that there won't be a significant difference in game engine, meaning once again we would get something very similar, if not exactly the same, as to what we have now. I've been away from TSW for 2 and a half months due to being without a PC, and haven't bought DLC since TSW 2, but nonetheless this frustrates me greatly, because I keep trying to look for reasons to be excited to go back to TSW, but I honestly feel like I've missed out on nothing at all since I've been away. I read the forums everyday in hope of some game breaking type of news, progressing the game forward, but alas, that is but a dream. I really hope the info on the page is wrong, all of it, but going by the track record of the leaker and the release/pre order info, I have a nasty little feeling within me that it's not wrong at all. I guess ultimately time will tell.

 

speculation and nonsense, wouldn’t read much into it, never trust the news or articles written by someone who isn’t from dtg, also the fact it said TSW 3 was for gen 9 only is a lie, so this article isn’t fully 100% truthful

 

I still think we are getting some form of a core update. but for the roadmap not having DTG working on any upcoming route is a little suspicious

 

It sounds plausible to me. If pre-orders start on August 22nd then I would guess it will be revealed just before then, which is why it isn't being discussed this month in the roadmap. Where it says they counted up to 100 additional contents it sounds like they are moving the compatible DLCs over, not sure what the total is now, would be surprised if it was 100 though? Certainly doesn't mean 100 releases under the TSW4 umbrella.

 

I actually made a suggestion a couple weeks ago about that, and I noticed a lot of people liked that suggestion. I do agree with you, if Bedford-Blackfriars does come out, it's definitely going to be one of the most efficient economic-wise. The 700/0 is already in the game (at least it will be as of July 11th) and we already have the HST and EMT/GTR license. We could also get the Class 66 into it too. And for new train additions, we would get the 222 and the 700/1.

TSW2 once again gone from "One single patch, news on that next month" to "No news...."

 

1. why the hell does the 700 sound like a 350?
2. is the auto voltage change functional on the 700?

It sounds like a 350 because they couldn't record the 700 sounds. Apparently the ones from ap weren't dc 700 sounds either. Image included below for context as to why dtg might have not used it. The reason dt

Power change works but you have to do it manually.

 

They already answered both of your questions in the class 700 preview stream earlier this evening.

 

Did they say if journey mode will be included on release?

 

I don’t usually jump into speculation because it’s usually fruitless.

However it would seem odd to release a dual voltage EMU which can only realistically be used in DC mode wouldn’t it? Also. If you release it separate to the route you can charge a bit more as you still have to buy the route as well if you want to use it on AC.

Wouldn't it be cleaner to just have the single timetable on PC and newer consoles?
There's routes already where I select services and there is old timetable and new timetable, really cannot see the point in even seeing the old one there. And then there is my OCD about having everything as completed takes a turn for the worse since there are now 2x timetables listed.

 

It is good if you don't have a powerful pc to be able to run it well. Also the series s which is a newer console doesn't have a lot of memory which can cause issues too.

 

This! Or at least the option to disable the reduced timetable also in journey mode. Thats so annoying!

 

My PC is so old the case was signed with a quill pen by the builder, Benjamin Franklin. But for the preceding 24 hours it ran the full timetable just fine. Even potato PCs don't lack for memory; it's usually old, slow video cards that are their Achilles heel.

 

I'm running a GTX 960 and its' fine. Not the best graphics wise but defiantly playable at 1080.

I'm looking forward to the performance optimization that's supposed to be in development. I get stutters and texture pop-in even after running the same route a second time (when they should be cached), and I'm using a RX 7900 XTX on my PC. I don't have any performance issues with any other AAA games except this one. Also I do hope they add features such as FSR and DLSS, to help with frame stability for some people.

 

Wot no Roadmap next week? Tuesday’s the first one in August. Perhaps its the following week.

 

They always tend to avoid releasing it at the very start of the month lately just from what I think it could probably be they need to add stuff or just make sure it's ready to come out or what not.
