Just huge relief that we survived again, even if its one more year its a year to get our finances sorted and get the new stadium built that little bit more. Hopefully we get strikers, fullbacks etc in during the summer. No point in saying never again, thats what we said last year. No euphoria this year though, just relief. UTFT.
How do you work that out? The only teams that came below Everton were Leicester, Leeds and Southampton. Congrats for staying up though.
What’s the opposite of a ‘like’? Not so long ago since we were Premier League and you were National League. I do think that a 30 point deduction was a bit harsh though. Still, 12 months hence should redress the balance, as long as we don’t keep sacking the manager when we lose a couple of matches.
He's a Palace fan who's glad that we stayed up (probably for the free 3 Points at Selhurst, realistically)
Oh, I thought you lot beat us down in London. Probably one of the only sides who didn't do it at least once then! (I do remember the Goodison one though, that gave me a hell of a lot of misplaced optimism.)
Anyone here watching the Champions League final? Free stream on YT courtesy of BT Sport; Might be an interesting one.
I’m a Gooner & what I thought would be merely be a battle for top four ended up close to a league title for the first time since 2004 so whilst disappointing that we let it slip, it was a fun season of entertaining football to watch from my side. With the incoming signings of Rice & Timber to go alongside the settled squad from last season (I’m not totally convinced on Havertz but I more than trust Arteta’s thinking), it should be another exciting campaign hopefully with some silverware to end it with. I’ve a habit of backing the most unfancied team to stay up (did it last year with Forest & the season before with Brentford though Norwich let me down not once but twice in the not so distant past) so I’m backing Luton to finish 17th
We seem to get destined for relegation even before a ball has been kicked, as a Luton fan we have been thru hell to get to the premier league, but now, little Luton is not so little anymore, I can honestly see us in the bottom part of the table, however, there are going to be some surprising results coming our way, we have something special in our football team, and that's one of the reasons of our success back to the premier league, there's no egos, no dummy throwing tantrums, we play as a team, and work as a team. Bottom part of league prediction, but NOT relegation. If Brighton Fulham Newcastle Aston Villa Wolves and Brentford can do it, why can't we?.
I wish Luton all the best however as a Norwich fan this was the exact same attitude I had when we got promoted on both occasions in the last 5 years and let’s just say it did not go too well.
