I've been considering this for a while, but babybird's post in the Suggestions board (asking DTG to make one) has prompted me to pose the question to you all. Should there be an unofficial Livery Contest on the forums? I'll start it, if yes. I've got a little provisional list of themes and I'll just use the DTG Format of having a select pick in a poll to decide for the next week. My proposed rules are fairly simple: No Profanity, No Hate Speech (i.e. slurs over a pride flag) Follow the theme (duh) No Stolen Liveries At least two pictures must be submitted, maximum of 3, per entry. At least one in the Livery Editor At least one in-game If only one entry is stolen, you will be disqualified on BOTH counts. Maximum of 2 entries a week, per person Winner is decided by the like count. In the event of a tie, I'll pick. (Or, if I handed this over to someone else, they'd pick) Spoiler: Initial theme ideas Real Livery - [insert TOC(s)] Germany British Scottish English American French Swiss Ukraine Trainbow Retro to Modern Modern to Retro Steam Age Diesel Age Advertising Futuristic What if... NOTE: I've posted this in the TSW Discussion forum just because it gets more traction. Also, it's not a creation, so can't go in Creation Centre. Right...? This is a brilliant idea and if this does come to fruition, then a scenario one needs done as well (if possible) but I like the concept
Quite hard to judge a Scenario one, tbf. Takes about 20 mins (at best) for people to judge them, compared to 20 secs (at worst) for a livery. Also DLC Requirements would create an unfair playing field, as some people wouldn't even be able to access scenarios to choose what they vote for.
Yeah, DLC requirements are a big factor which can affect the results a bit so I admit the scenario challenge isn't the best idea but the livery one is quite substantially easier than a scenario one as it would work in a similar manner to the screenshot contest over in the Creation Centre
