I have to agree with your post that the direction of this dlc (and also the new mml), isnt just a few bugs here and there. This is about cashing money for an unfinished product.
Well im glad they fix it afterwards at least, but running the loop with a fire extinguisher when the damage was done, cant really be called a vision.

    TSW3 is more like this:
    upload_2023-7-6_0-23-48.png
And your previous car the mechanic promised to fix after you buy this? Forget about it, a new car is coming soon anyway.

clearly, just speculation, but I'm really hoping it's an extension to NYT so it's down to Philly. This, plus the updated timetable would make this route just SO great. Honestly, if they sold the extension as a separate price (which would be the likely scenario if it at all happened), wouldn't even upset me, just want to be able to go from NY to Philly!

Well I would say we have four possibilities at the moment:
    1.LIRR new route
    2. NYT working the signals
    3. NYT extended(but very doubtful since I don't think they have the Septa license)
    4. New Haven line not sure if to Stanford all to New Haven itself.

If they get a septa license I’d prefer to see a new route Trenton to Newark de than an extension of NYT to Philly.

I still hope someday they do different extension of NYT to morrisville Newark broad st roselle park and south amboy

A very small item to bring to the attention of Joethefish -- playing NJT service 3510 (one of the South Amboy-NY runs) and the service has you making stops at North Elizabeth and Newark Airport. In real life this service does not make those two stops (I verified with both the 2019 timetable, that I believe I saw somewhere was the basis for the NJT services in-game, and the current public timetable on the NJT website).

I may have accidentally said it was the 2019 timetable I've been using but I had another look now and it is instead the 2015 timetables. Apologies for the confusion there. Looking through that again, 3510 back then did stop at North Elizabeth and Newark Airport unlike more recent timetables. So it's a little dated I guess. :|

I have the summer 2019 Newark and Hoboken Division ETTs. Won't let me upload the former to the forum (file too large) but maybe DM?

I think this late in development, I'll keep everything in the 2015 format, it'll take a long time to remake the timetable :|

That isn't going to happen. They aren't going to model Philly 30th Street for a free patch, and there's no point doing it without SEPTA trains, which don't and for now can't exist.

This and the Mainz-Koblenz lines are ones I have personally taken and would love to play, but with the reviews I am waiting for a full discount sale. I'll cut the corners on the price like they cut the corners on the content.

I'd definitely love to see some SEPTA heavy rail content!

To piggyback, at least nowadays Amtrak Keystone 609 makes a stop at Metropark. Idk if it did in 2019 or not.

I found an interesting and / or alarming glitch. When playing the Northeast Regional 196 Timetable service, NJT Train 3959 rear-ends Amtrak Keystone 655 at Trenton on Track 4 (low speed, no derailment). It's a pretty bizarre glitch because:
    1. AI are not supposed to hit eachother.
    2. It only happens when you play NER 196 & never on foot.
    3. It leads to a backlog of trains between FAIR & HAM interlockings since DTG exclusively routes / paths ALL westbound trains onto Track 4.

Once again, I think this makes it apparent that with the new update, Track 5 at Trenton might have to be utilized for select westbound NJT trains, along with Track 2, also for westbound trains.
There are a handful of westbound NJT trains that crossover between HAM & FAIR interlockings to terminate on "Track 2" then turn to head to New York without continuing to Morrisville Yard. Otherwise, we will likely face major backlogs near Trenton, similar to those experienced on the Harlem Line.

Here's a video of the whole ordeal (with timestamps for easy viewing)

The NJT and Amtrak timetables are both based on the 2015 WTT. So, I don't know about 2019 but they certainly stopped there in 2015 and thus represented. :)
These are now represented in the timetable update I'm working on, with the correct trains that are supposed to turn on track 2 thanks to a lot of help.

    1. Amtrak Keystone 609 bypasses Metropark in TSW3 as of now.
    Train Sim World® 3 (2).png
Here's the 2020 Amtrak Timetable. I have 609 highlighted with an arrow pointed at the Metropark stop:
    Screenshot_44.png
    2. SPLENDID (Doktor from Metal Gear Rising voice). Nice to see the crossover appeal in the next update ;)

Sidenote: If any of y'all are interested in a recent real life experience I had on Amtrak's Keystone Service 609 with broken signals, feel free to watch. Worry not, you can skip around with timestamps. I had to sit there for over 4 hours.
This could be inspiration for a scenario perhaps? Havoc On Hudson Part 2? Enjoy :D

My apologies, I misread. I just checked with the timetable I have from 2015 and 609 did not stop back then. So it has been recreated based on that.

I think the 2015 timetable is just fine ,it brings the route to life and that's what matters ,otherwise that's just really "nit picking" I think Joe will deliver an awesome timetable, have no doubts on that!

Hi, Joe, you may already know this, but just in case not - if you are using the 2015 timetable, the 26XX series trains primarily used ALP equipment too since they originated/terminated from Long Branch (could be interchanged with 32XX series consists), while 23XX are diesel/dual mode only since they start or finish at Bay Head.

Also, just wanted to note that there are some interesting routings for coast line trains during PM rush - depending on what time a 32XX/26XX/23XX train leaves from Newark Penn, it may be routed on track 2 instead of track 3 for the whole distance between (and at) Newark Penn and Union Interlocking so that it does not interfere with traffic already on track 3 that may be departing relatively close to that train’s departure time from NWK (for example Amtrak or 39XX series trains). In other words some of these coast line trains may be “wrong-railed” on the eastbound express track during the PM rush hour.

Hey, thanks yeah I've represented all the NJCL electric services with the ALP-46+MLs to keep the traffic levels up so it should look good.

I am quite hesitant to have trains running via track 2 as TSW may not be okay with that in certain situations and might result in a standoff between two trains. I wanna keep those situations to the very minimum if at all, sorry about that. :|

I have never been on track 2 in the evening rush. Never.
Evening rush is always on 3 or 4 never 5 because of the ramp from the path to the platform

I think during 2015, some NJT Bay Head directs and a few Long Branch(I think from Hoboken) may have used track 2 on evening rush hours. If that helps, unless I went left..But there were a few times I used a (I can't remember which particular service) Bay Head direct from Penn Station and it arrived at Newark on track 2, if this is based on 2015

No worries, Joe. Too bad the dispatcher/timetable is still a bit finicky when it comes to reversible tracks. In any case, I’m happy to see all those electric services included.
I think it mostly applied to a handful of coast line trains including those from Hoboken, so I would not be surprised if this does not happen anymore. However even in august of 2020, there were numerous outbound coast line services using track 2 during the pm rush (see attached pics from departurevision at Newark Penn) and you can see in the linked video at time stamp 4:40 that trains were on 2 up till Union interlocking.

This is very similar to last year’s bakerloo and Hamburg timetable update. An article came out on May of last year I think and the update time table for both routes didn’t come out until a month after tsw3 was launched. So I guess you are right early November?

In the same boat. I'd imagine that, if we're able to resolve the issues, they'll be released with the timetable.

I have a feeling if the update comes out for the possible new sim if that is what is cooking for 8/22, perhaps we'll see some scenery improvements, especially with the NYC skyline from Sunnyside yard. It would be cool if the route gets extended to Philadelphia-30th street, as this is a highly anticipated route for TSW.

I personally don't think they would extend to philadelphia. It wouldn't be busy without the septa license. Amtrak doesn't have a ton of services. It is also why dc to baltimore wouldn't work without marc since marc makes the line busy and only seeing amtrak would mean it's empty

That unfortunately is in the unreleased TSW2 updates that have seem to have slipped between the couch cusions somewhere.

Coming up to 12 months on those.

Just like how they said back in early September that they will be weeks not months when they get released.

    More like years or decades.

But TSW3 has them and they are pretty good. The Hamburg one really brings Hamburg Hbf to life. And it nice to see such frequent trains on Bakerloo.

Ok so I was correct about The timetable for bakerloo not making it on TSW2 even though it was on the roadmap of may 2022

Would you say NYC route + Acela for 17,80€ is a good deal?

Looking at the current sale on Steam, this is a big price decrease, but I'm afraid the timetable upgrade is going to be paywalled behind the next core release.
