Now, when you install a repaint, it is applied on every loco, but what I think of is a management system.

That's what I think it should work:
    • The standard repaint of the loco is shown as a preview
    • At the moment when you've installed a repaint there's an icon next to the loco. This icon should indicate there's a repaint installed.
    • To select a repaint you click the icon and a list with all repaints installed for this loco is displayed and you can now select the repaint you want.
    • Also, there should be a button to access the settings for the loco:
      • Maybe a box to tick with the option to only use the selected repaint on the user's loco and all other locos have one repaint that can be selected here.
      • Another tick box with the option that all locos use randomly chosen repaints.
    • Then you save the settings an start the service.
You should also be able to select the repaint(s) for other loco model types in the same way I proposed above.

Do you want such a repaint manager?
    What would you change?

The editor might have a way to do this.

Well I mean that everybody can select the repaints in-game instead of first opening the editor do the settings open the game and drive, but rather set up the repaints for certain locos when selcting the loco, so in-game.

Anyway, if it's a practical way to do this via the editor, the editor would be a good alternative.

Those types of configuration needs a livery license.

There already is a manager for repaints in the game. The problem is just without the editor no one is able to create new repaints, they can only replace existing liveries by simply changing the textures.

As DTG have the know how to reskin trains on consoles. Put a reskin template online so that the TSW community can download their own images, match them to the wrap template via photoshop etc and add them to console via Usb. You dont need a licence,in the same way that a lot of the stuff knocking about on TSxx isnt. Pretty confident that within weeks, there would be liveries for every loco on every route in tsw for all platforms.

The only thing I would like to see is that the ai trains of a certain loco use not only one repaint, but it's randomly chosen for every service.

I don't get it, can you explain this to me?
I think that this is a game function. The game detects installed repaints or liveries(however you want to them) and then assigns those repaints to the services. And I don't see where the editor is needed. If you're talking about making repaints, then you need the editor of course.

You don’t need the editor to make repaints. There are lots of repaints out there already.

Ok yeah, but that's why I suggest it, because it would enhance the game.

I know that, but I wasn't sure what Rail Master meant by saying "editor"
