Tsw 4 *spoiler Alert You Have Been Warned*.

I figured we can use this thread if you are posting information that others might not want spoiled

 

I counted 81 smithfields that look to be previous DLC up to now these are listed 1 to 81. After it starts with 101,102, and 103 as pre- purchase. Then regular 101,102,103, 104 is the flying scotsman centenary edition,105,106,107,108,109 is states vectron, then after it goes all the way to 115. So it looks like everything after 101 is new content for posibble TSW4

Quite something for the DTG folks to wake up to. I always love finding this stuff out, but I do feel somewhat sorry for all the time spent by the marketing folks on a big reveal.

 

Can you please explain better what information you gathered. Are you saying you found proof of TSW4? What's the release date? Pictures of Vectron and the flying scotsman? Which new features will TSW4 bring?

The Vectron is already listed in the consist list in-game when using the god mod. I presume it was first conceptualised as a DLC for Kassel but they never got around to making it until now.

This forum is full of speculation threads, all of them without any spoiler warnings. So, I think you´re on the safe side here and won´t spoil somebody´s surprise when most of it has been "revealed" already elsewhere.

Sure you did.
Those speculations seem to me pretty wild, many of them based on crystal balls and snake oil. I think they leave still enough room for upcoming surprises which nobody would predict.

The bookmakers would have a field day if somebody would accept bets here.
But let people have their fun ...

 

To be fair the steam DB and Epic DB have been around 85% accurate. So the data is showing lots of information that might not be correct but it has some validity to it.

 

Could someone summarise, what actually are these leaks regarding TSW4 that seem to be very true?

I've seen some stuff around regarding an ECML south, but I have yet to see any proof for this.

 

Only thing that has been sourced is that TSW 4 *might* be a concept. That was from a French leaker with a reputation for being correct - however his statements regarding TSW did have some false info, mainly TSW 3 being next gen only.

Everything else you’re seeing is being cooked up here on the forum (ECML rumours being founded by the 700 AC sounds being AP, and a vague reference to a file on EGS).

Looks like we would have 3 options for pre order. Last year for TSW3 we had 5 bundles

Constance-Bregenz would not make much sense as a route for TSW. Would need a lot of different trains just for the part Lindau-Bregenz ...

Could be anything after 105 and except 109 which that looks to be the Vectron loco. Is PB would be releasing for TSW4 as it looks at the moment

Come on DTG, you might as well bring forward whatever announcement you were going to make and put your customers' minds at rest.
Whether it is indeed TSW4, what the selling packages will be and of course the new routes and traction.

 

Yea So from UK we pretty much know is the ECML which probably has ATS handwork all over it. US since Brandon has been working all summer and NYT hasn't been release leaves two options which I know he would only do,New have line or a new LIRR line.
for German, i still believe is Leipzig/ Dresden.
and I believe the BML is going to get some optimization. they always mentioned no and no ,but that was for TSW3. I don't see how they release the 700 and 700/1 without being in the BML

 

You're making a lot of assumptions there. I think currently it's safe to say we'll likely get the Flying Scotsman, and either TSW4, or a Rush hour type pack in September.

I hope it is the Modern ECML, and I hope we do get something US East coast, but the evidence for both of those isn't really solid enough to say 100% yet.

The BML bit completely has no evidence though, especially since they have said they aren't going to look at it, and aren't going to add the Class 700.

That is all assuming that they're not just releasing TS Classic on the Epic store, The Flying Scotsman centenary pack was a DLC on TS Classic after all.

ECML would be nice in TSW, though it would be more interesting in LNER steam with the A4s or BR era with Deltics than modern era with the rather bland Azumas. I'd happily take a Class 91 though!

So if we have a flying scotsman centenary pack this must definitely mean some part of the ecml is coming, it won't really make sense on any other route since the irl centenary tour was done between kings x and aberdeen. I would argue the ecml section would include york because that's where the scotsman is stored today

 

Of course there is the possibility we could get two UK routes... MML with the 700 and a more northerly section of the ECML with Flying Scotsman and a Deltic set during the steam/diesel transition period. You could then layer in green 101's on any local services which could then bring up the Buxton to Peak Forest shuttle on PFR.

Would also finally get a RMB buffet car...

Maybe I'm just wildly speculating here but we have had these red herring assumptions before and it's been something totally different!

The ECML finally lost its soul on 2nd January 1982, but I’ll take whatever they bring to the table. Anything short of Peterborough would be a wee bit disappointing though.

 

Do we have any evidence that directly suggests a TSW4? Or is this just fueled by the so called leak article? Could this all just be a typical summer routes style release with several routes similar to Rish hour?

Im sceptical to a TSW4 because the leaks seems to say Gen8 is being dropped while we've heard multiple times from dtg it definitely isnt?

 

The evidence is overwhelming. There is a pre order for a batch of new downloads set for the end of august for the Epic store. The amount of downloads is the same as the game we have now. What else would it be?

 

Also the pre order date is the same as the leak in the article had mentioned August 22

 

cmon dtg, announce it already

 

I suspect we won’t get an official announcement until either the 8th or 15th of August

 

I bet that the roadmap will again be empty
