If it was just the default UV map of the HST, the front yellow bit would be grainy/pixellated both with and without the mod no? The yellow nose isn't pixellated at all in the default EMT livery. Have changes been made to that specific area of the texture?
It definitely looks like compression artifacting/export settings issue based on texturing I've done for other games. I don't have experience with Unreal/TSW texturing though.

It might be because of the slight weathering that was added (idk who did it) which might be giving it that slightly grainy look, it's personally not the biggest distraction imo, but as I said before it has nothing to do with UE4 compression as the texture would have been exported exactly how it had been cooked originally.

Oh I didn't mean the UE4 compression, I meant the source file compression. Is it a DDS? Could try placing it in completely uncompressed for a test to see if it still does it.

After installing the entire package, including the GOD file and others referenced, this route is now probably the best as far as environment goes. I did get the Peak Forest, even though I don't do steam, and it was worth the price.

Exported from fmodel as a png. Its had a very light darkening around the window frames and the rivets on the underside. Apart from darkening the entire body texture a touch. Nothing else was done. Tbh I suspect darkening highlighted the pixelation, that was already there. When I get time, I will investigate further.

Just FYI, we’ve had a look at the HST and it is pixilated by default. What you see in the game reflects the powercar texture map exactly but as Rob said, I reckon where it’s been darkened it’s maybe made it marginally more obvious. I’ve got to be honest, I’ve never noticed it other than under very specific conditions, i.e. It’s just started raining and the powercar body is transitioning from dry to wet.

I think messing with it could cause issues elsewhere so it will likely be left as is.

Weird, I noticed no pixellation at all on the powercar of the default livery in the exact same conditions. But yeah, maybe the darkening brought it out. If there's nothing that can be done that's fair enough. I likely wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't trying to take a screenshot lol.

Yeah, fair enough. The pixellation is definitely there on the default texture but if one of us gets chance we’ll try and take a look at it. I can’t promise anything though…how does the saying go? If it’s not on the roadmap… ;)

After reading this thread and installing the EP, which is glorious by the way, it got me to thinking 2 things (again):

1 - Would DTG ever consider a community award to recognize the brilliant work like this? And the reward should be something more than a fancy plaque, but tangible. Like access to all the developer tools. or free DLC for the winners. And the community does the voting to remove any aspect of DTG favoritism. Would create some incentive for more to participate.

2 - Why can't DTG find some middle ground between current TSW and TSC that opens the world up to the TSW community for more modding? There are hundreds of requests to add the Class 700 to BML, but all are met with "it's not on the timeline". That's because DTG have a product architecture where they have to do EVERYTHING. Why can't DTG be responsible for base world building, then open up the delivered product to the rest of us? You want a Class 390 AI on Bakerloo? Fine, go ahead and build one and dispatch it onto line yourself. A community member adds a Class 700 to BML and the mod breaks everything? Fine, uninstall the mod and tell that community member to fix it. DTG are off the hook. They can focus their limited, valuable, resources on quality and thoroughness of the base build, and let the community worry about extending the life of the DLC. I realize consoles may be the rub here, but why hamstring the capabilities of one platform because another is too restrictive?

Maybe an edit mode where a pool of generic items/assets could be placed in sort of creators mode. Perhaps. Gen 9 upwards maybe. You’d need prior agreement from any 3rd party offering up their route I would guess. The other licensed stuff re trains is probably trickier.

Great work, thanks to all who were involved. Has there been any news from SHG/DTG regarding sorting out the signalling/aws/tpws yet? Seems to have gone all quiet on that front.

Because skyhook made a poorly optimised route, it isn’t because consoles are “inferior” pc master race people are so annoying

Jane has stated several times that SHG wrote the MML for PC only and it was DTG that did the conversion over to the consoles.

But then again if it was wrote for PC, how come it’s so poor on PCs, it still kept crashing on PCs, it shows you how flawed the route was

it isn’t poor on PCs - mine runs smooth as silk, and has never crashed

obviously if you’re trying to run it on Windows 98 with 32mb of RAM, then yes it’ll crash but for any modern half decent PC, it’s perfectly fine.

Hey guys. I've just uploaded a few bug fixes, which were kindly made by the fellow team. The file you want to download is called 'MML Player Feedback.rar' located here on the main download page.

Inside the zip file, you will find a few different paks. Please read the readme inside the zip file to find detailed information, as to what these pak files do.

Place the pak files as normal inside your DLC folder. You do not have to replace or manually delete any other paks.

Thank you all for all you have done. I love what you have done with British Gysum and everything else. There seems to be nothing left for Skyhook to do now. I have thanked Jetwash elsewhere for the wonderful work he he has done. If I was a millionaire I would buy DTG and gift it you lot as a gift. It would also be a massive gift to all of us were you to accept.

Very much enjoying the EP, but the top of rails seem to have lost their sheen; is there any way to bring this back?

As discussed further up this thread. Im looking to upload some further Player customisation addons. So that everyone can have atleast close to their ideal experience. I will be adding A slightly glossier looking HST set. A slightly glossier looking 158. Plus add some extra sheen to the track railhead. After that I hope we can all sit back and enjoy the route, the way we like it. Screenshot (3153).png Screenshot (3154).png Screenshot (3155).png

    You'll find them here Redbus

Really nice work with this pack.

Did somebody of the modder have a look into the hst emergency hatch configuration?

Did skyhook just not model the opening of the hatch or is the entire emergency drawbar system not modeled in the mml hst?

The 158 default window pack doesn't appear to be doing anything for me.
I have the file in my folder, and renamed it to "!!!TS2Prototype158defaultwindows" but the windows are still pixelated on it.
The HST one works fine however.

The HST Exterior was upscaled to reduce the pixelation. Where as the 158 window file returned the window to its default pre mod state.

In the end it wasn’t Rob, it didn’t need it. It’s the default size but edited.

Personally I’d take the tint over the default any day. It’s barely noticeable in any way.

I'm seeing no difference between having the 158 file installed/not installed, is what I meant. The tint/pixellation looks the same regardless.
Is there something that could be blocking it? I've named it "!!!TS2Prototype158defaultwindows" like the readme said.

I have the same issue. It looks exactly the same to me.

I’m just living with it and pulling the blind down a little to hide it as I can’t go back to playing the unmodded DLC after enjoying the Mod so much.

This 158 window thing is something I might look into in the future, for the time being Im on with other things. However there is one more small addon for this EP that I hope you will enjoy.

Is there anyway to upload a version of the EP without any 158 texture changes?
I'm enjoying driving the HST on the new scenery, but I can't drive the 158 with how the modded window texture looks. The pixellation being right on the front window always in view distracts too much.

Not without breaking it all down. Ive got so many mods going on at the moment, it just wouldnt be worth doing right now. The file I added was pulled straight from the DLC, it should be default. If it hasn't changed anything, then it needs further investigation, to see where or which texture (as Skyhook put 2 in there) is being called upon in the game.

Fair enough. The file currently doesn't change anything, so hopefully when you get time you can investigate it.
I'll just have to disable the EP for now when I want to drive the 158.

I think you must have something else going on, because unless I’m really looking for it I can’t see the pixelation at all. Certainly not that I wouldn’t use the EP because of it.

    Very noticeable against the sky.
This is with only the MML EP, and the 158 window patch enabled. No other mods, using your Beyond Ultra.ini file.

Same situation for me. Same mods and ini file. Otherwise completely standard install.

Was just about to post a near identical screenshot.
