Unless it’s coming with whatever is on the horizon, they can’t even get reverb implemented on the main sound channels…
The other day I used my xbox controller on Train sim Classic for the first time ever. The vibration function worked on the controller when I was outside of the train the railjoint sounds were interpreted into the vibration function of the controller. I hated it lol. So would I want vibration function like that for PS / Xbox..... personally no and if they do have it then put it as an option. Hentis
Agree. I dislike controller feedback in most games. Just seems unrealistic and forced (no pun intended). I even disable it in Flight Sim when using the joystick.
I get more reverb on my N Gauge layout with the sound fitted locos than in state of the art TSW, as I said elsewhere without timetable mode TSW would offer little.
As someone who works in construction compiling health and safety forms I would ask whether you need a HAVs form so you can record white finger risk... playing with a constantly vibrating controller (as it would be if the verb was realistic) would eventually harm your hands!
Controller force-feedback would be a fantastic option IMO. The fact that ancient TSC has it but not TSW is strange to me.
I would definitely like to have the PS5's adaptive triggers for TSW, so that you can feel some resistance when pulling the throttle or brake handle.
You could say that with COD when you shoot a gun that's vibrating and plus people can turn it off if you don't like the vibration.
It funny how people assume that TSW has the same business model as TSC. The free updates is a TSC thing and it seems that TSW is going in a different direction amd charging for their upgrades. So it is what it is TSW and TSC are different games and different business models.
I wouldn’t be surprised if tsc support stops in the next few years to allow for tsw development to go into full gear
They would still continue to support tsc. They had that whole article from several months ago outlining how they would completely transform tsc to bring it to to standard with modern technology and hardware in terms of performance, etc. There's only been like 3rd party releases for tsc but dtg hasn't made stuff for it
As far as I remember, they already said in one of the previous roadmaps, that they will give more focus on fixes and co. in the next months. So nothing out of the ordinary to me.
What mayor improvement do you miss with TSW3 which would rectify TSW4? Me for myself can't see any necessity for a TSW4 right at the moment and I would only feel like a cash cow if they really would release TSW4 this year. Reseasing a TSW3 which would be out of date by the time they release it and they are already planning a TSW4? Sorry DTG, that would be very annoying. Just a cash grab...
i hate to pop the bubble but my team has confirmed with me that Next week is the August 2023 Roadmap and like i have said all along i do not see TSW4 this year
Focus on fixes... i remember that - they used the same sentence last year that they will focus on fixies for TSW 2 and then TSW 3 was announced and released
Fixes, Remove stutters, much improved passengers, better shadows, redesigned HUD, UI overhaul, HDR support, .... there is a huge list of stuff waiting that could improve this game. A very huge list actually
There will be a roadmap for August. They are just confirming dates. This was confirmed last week by DTG Alex.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble but the Epic store unofficially confirmed to the entire TSW community that TSW4 is coming and you will be able to pre order it on the 28th of august. You made already perfectly clear why they would never tell you about their plans. You go snitch on the forums
And what is your official status with DTG or associates to know this and if so, aren’t you breaching NDA by making that statement?
I hope that isn’t true. We do not need TSW4. I certainly don’t want TSW4 until TSW3 is running smoothly and efficiently with the fewest of bugs. I cannot see the point of new games every year as TSW4, thenTSW5 a year later and TSW6 in another 12 months. To me that is stupid. Rebrand the game Train Sim World and issue yearly updates and improvements. I thought DTG had admitted there would not be a TSW4 for some time, maybe I dream’t that. DTG should continue to work on Three and have it running to a standard they are proud of. Remember every time there is a new game, all the previous add-ons have to be downloaded to run in the new game. Do we want all that hassle and bother every year. Keep TSW3 as it is or rebrand it, it is the way forward!
A lot of stuff from TSW2 got fixed in TSW3. Maybe these yearly upgrades are the path to fixing stuff?!
Also a lot of stuff from TSW 2020 & TSW2 got broke in TSW3 and we're still waiting for it to be fixed! We're still waiting for the final preservation crew improvements for TSW2 that we were promised would be released shortly after TSW3 too but we all know what happened there.
Oh yes, we do, like 143 Sound which doesn't work properly since TSW2. It is a shame, just a shame. Ppl. are also still waiting for the announced TSW2 fixes "long term support" and so on. Nothing ever happens. I also doubt that TSW4 will have really "new" features, maybe we get paid FSR and DLSS integration for example. I said that earlier, I do not have a problem in paying money for getting a supported product or at least support for a product. The main issue remains, that their is basically no real bug fixing. The biggest problems will be fixed and then they move on. I doubt we will ever see announcement boards on Linke Rheinstrecke added for example. We will never get just one loco of a type instead of a whole bunch of different versions etc with different features etc.
Simple, the point is to charge money for it. If it was just an update every year, no pennies for DTG from it. Personally I would not have a big issue with this model, IF their bug fixing policy wasn't what it is. They are not even able to fix some of the signs along the track, where the issue is literally just to rewrite one number to another, but they have balls to ask for more money for more bugged content. This is what I completely do not understand.
Well, we can only hope that things from now on will change with the new owner of DTG after TSW4, but yes I doubt it :-D
I disagree. There can always be an update with three new routes for £40. So DTG get their moneys worth.
I’m sure there’ll be a few more teasers and JD gaffes between now and the 22nd. Anyhow first part of the prophecy fulfilled, we got the announcement about the announcement!
Ok so now that TSW4 (or whatever they're gonna call it) is essentially confirmed, it's time for even more wild speculation: New features? New TOC license maybe? New country in the Train Sim World? What do we think?
Maybe you should take the tinfoil hat off! Seems your "team" don't have a clue what they're talking about!
True, but new title always looks optically better. It would be a lot harder to "sell" the idea to the general public, that does not come to these forums and does not know what's what. Plus how would you explain releasing new routes that require "this paid update to work"? While when having the title clearly separated from the old one, they can just easily state "for this route you need TSWx", which is sold here.
What if they removed the number system from here on out and just call it Train Sim World in the future?
