I agree, the route is enjoyable, the Class 158 and HST (the VP185 sounds great) are lovely, but getting random emergency braking is off-putting.
I want the MM route but have not and will not buy it until it is reported to be fixed and running as expected. Time and again people buy stuff that is broken, and then moan about it. The thread Jane from Skyhook started got to around 50+ pages, but despite all the feedback/moans/issues/promises, it’s still not sorted. Often, as we know, stuff never ever gets fixed. Many members here are meanwhile getting excited about the expected arrival of TSW4 and ECML I predict (based on past performance) - if this does launch soon as expected - that it will be at best, bug ridden and have poor sound, and at worst broken and unplayable - like the PS5 version of MM still seems to be. And the forum will be awash with people opening tickets with DTG and reporting issues, and people moaning/complaining/bereft/wailing when all they had to do was wait, and see how it pans out Personally I will be waiting for all those early adopters to perform unpaid beta tests (they will have paid of course for the privilege) and let the rest of us know how good it is (or isn’t) and if it’s the right time to spend my hard earned on it. I hate to be pessimistic but TSW and DTG do have a heck of a lot of form here If it is all wonderful, works as expected without major issues, then I will buy it, and come back here to admit that I was wrong and that my pessimism was unfounded. Let’s see how it goes.
Hey - LucaZone has updated with Skyhook's current development priorities here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...sues-feedback-thread.71347/page-2#post-681645
Fakenham, I am running on PC and since the last set of fixes, I have not experienced any of the AWS or TPWS problems and I have played the route a number of times with both locomotive sets.
I haven't played it on PC since the patch but on Xbox TPWS seems to have been cleared up but there are still a couple of AWS and signalling problems floating about. Apart from that though it's a really solid and enjoyable route.
Agree with you. I got mml due to the update at the time, but when i got it, still had issie. These may habe been fixed now, i dont know. Yeah tsw4, for some strange reason, we shall see. But for me i wont be buying it till i see some real improvement with the routes and features, if any. So yeah am sceptical indeed. Tsw3 was jam packed with bugs, and to this fay, still has many, so why even bother with tsw4 when 3 is still in need of improving. I shall wait and see what comes next
The AI doesn't go to Matlock/Newark/Lincoln after you complete a 158 service at Derby and Nottingham. It just waits at the station. At Nottingham, the AI gets a green signal and a path in the wrong direction towards Beeston. The trains do however display the correct destination when taken over by AI.
Are there likely to be any more updates/news regarding patches and fixes etc on the direct stream or through other means? As there was always a segment on the roadmap to touch on that stuff
There's a Skyhook stream next week with Jan and LucaZone, so I'm sure they'll be able to provide an update.
