It’s been recently that I have caught up on the linearity of DTG’s actions in the game routes. Or Aka how linear and incomplete they are. I will mostly focus on the UK routes as I mostly play them in TSW3.

routes that I would like to be expanded would be
    Great Western Express
    West Cornwall Route
    East Coastway Route
    SouthEastern Highspeed Route.

starting off here for GWE. To fit the actions of what lazy DTG usually does. I would at least hope that for GWE. They would extend the route from Reading I think at least to Bristol (Bristol to Plymouth could be in another route). And that adding the branch for Heathrow Express to Heathrow Airport, the track and wire is already there and I don’t see why the option not include it.

For the WCR, I would like to see the route being extended to at least Plymouth. I think a lot of people have suggested as well and I agree. The end station for the route isn’t even a large station so why end there?

for ECW, I would like the route to be extended to Ashford from Eastbourne, which includes full services to Ore and Hasting. Which is what the class 377s usually run to in game. And also it could connect up with SouthEastern High speed route. I have recently traveled on that route and it is one of the good routes I have been on within the Southern Network. And I think it would be a very nice route to be made in game. And maybe also extending to Haywards Heath? Considering it is part of the ECW between Haywards Heath and Lewes.

This might just be my own nitpicking but I wish that SouthEastern Highspeed could also extend the route for the slower routes from Ashford (and some other part that I forgot) to at least maybe London Charing Cross. It may be too long to be included in the same route, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens. But it would be also fun if you could drive along side the high speed line a little before going into London.

For routes that would like TSW to have.
    West CoastWay Line
Plymouth to Bristol (dunno does the line have a name)
I can’t really name much else right now but that’s all I could think off.

Plymouth to Bristol is self explanatory so I would skip to WCW
For WCW from Brighton to (I am begging at least reach to) Portsmouth Harbour, better yet include all the branches such as Littlehampton, Bognor Regis and Southampton (maybe also include route via Eastleigh and to Haywards Heath but I think that may be too much for DTG). Heck there’s usually a shuttle train between Bognor Regis and Littlehampton which is where the Class 377/3 could be useful. And you can also include the class 313 on that route too since they also operate there as well.

For trains that I would liked to be included (and they run on their respective routes)
Class 332 for GWE on Heathrow express runs.
Class 165 for GWE (I am not 100% sure about rather or not so they run to London as well but. Thought it would be fun if they add that in along with the class 166).
Class 171 (2,3,4 car variants thx. Or whatever southern has) between Ashford and Eastbourne.
Class 375/3, It’s literally just class 375/9 with some modification in game/whatever software they use to make the train textures and models.
Class 377/3. They are same as Class 375/3 but with different coupler, so technically if DTG made Class 375/3, they can also make the Class 377/3 as well. Double win? (They can be used in East and West CoastWay Line)
Class 380/0 and /1 for the ScotRail routes.
Class 222 on the Midland Mainline route.
Class 387/2 on ECW both as a ai train on the route to London and drivable as a little scenario as a supplement train for the class 377s to Eastbourne/Hastings.
Class 158 (3 car variant?) on dunno what rout, I dunno did midland railway have 3 car ones tho.
I dunno what route will this loco run on but I also hope they could make a class 73 (one of /0, /1, /2 or /9). Cuz they are 3rd Rail perfect to run network rail or Railtour trains on routes like SouthEastern Highspeed and on Southern Network.

I feel like there are more I could mention but this is all I could think off. I really hope DTG could consider this. Possibly including all those trains in a pack instead of being sold separately as a DLC?

    Several points
    • Game development is long and tedious so unless you are a game dev yourself, you wouldn't understand the effort of each dlc and they are nothing but lazy. You are just invalidating everything they do.
    • Gwe: already explained extensions won't happen. It is the very first uk dlc ever made in tsw. To extend it requires it to be stripped down and rebuilt from the ground up. Route building back then is very different from route building right now. If you want it modern day, still requires a complete rebuild.
    • Southeastern high speed already did receive an extension and due to how busy it is, it has been causing problems lately on certain platforms in terms of memory and performance. That is why there are 2 separate timetables.
    • Similar classes. They may look similar, but are also very different.
    • They will not release as one pack. Almost all the units you mentioned are brand new trains that are new to tsw. To sell them for like $30 or something means dtg don't earn anything and doesn't account for the work each train requires.

    - however, would it be reasonable for these high prices for these unreasonable short yet linear (i dont blame some of them are, its more of like their choice of picking what route to do) routes that, with the prices that us players deserve more than 1 big station to another. Are you sure that it is reasonable to just give half baked routes and doing routes that just cuts of in the middle of nowhere in a big route is good for thje players?

    - i cant speak for all the players here, so i dont know rather or not did a lot of or the exact amount of people that suggested this, but if players are suggesting this (or at least anything really). Should this made into consideration? If i am a dev i wouldve at least try to. Maybe in some sort of anniversary of TSW then possibly some remakes of routes from older tsw games could be done?

    - that i didnt know before alright.

    - still would be good if we can get more new trains, instead of rehash of different rolling stocks from previous routes.

    - Alright then just sell the trains as separate DLCs

Luckily Matt P agrees with this one. We are hopefully going to see some different areas and eras going into the future.

I believe so, yes. The curtain has fallen on Kent and South East London (thank goodness).

honestly i just wished for a great western route to be redone. Cuz just driving between London and Reading on a HST its way too underwhelming. and i would like to drive GWR HSTs on longer distance

They have said many times it won't happen, so for now (most likely forever) you'll have to dream it.
