Steam [solved] New Lighting System In Tsw3 Routes Is Broken / Next Rail Cars Are Too Dark

at daytime everything is fine, but starting a service at night times causes everything to be incredibly dark. it was completely fine in all TSW2 routes.


you can see on the right I set the headlights to the highest setting but you can't see anything in the tunnel!


the cab lights and passenger lights are on but it's just too dark. surprisingly the flashlight works well though.
and I believe the issue is just on the first car of the train, as seen here, the second car is lighted up well


edit: it's also the exact opposite when running a service on daytime; the first car is lit up well but the second one and the ones after that are dark as hell

 

Do you have any mods that can affect that. That includes mods that aren't directly related since that can happen. In my experience, nights aren't that dark. I don't have any mods that affect lighting in any way so I know vanilla doesn't seem to have that lighting for me on pc. Pics included. Updated post with the ice1 as well

 

I do have a mod about route enhancements for KWG but it's only a few textures here and there, and the only mod I have related to lighting or time of day systems is one that fixes the super dark displays on the MAG class 423 when using it on TSW3 routes
but I strongly remember having this issue without mods before I discovered mods, but I'm gonna try without the route enhancement pack now to see if there are any differences

Do you have the latest version? I'm also running the ice1 ep with the screenshots i have. Also, any ini changes?

 

yes I have the latest version and I think there is a small misunderstanding building up I do have the ICE 1 EP aswell but I also have a KWG route (!) EP and without the route EP the issue is not there anymore, the ICE 1 EP which is only for the train does not affect this at all (I hope)

 

Oh sorry, I misread. Yea it's probably the route ep causing the problem. The loco ep works without issue

 

yeah well thanks for helping it works fine now and I removed all other route enhancement packs incase something happens on another route too thanks again

 

Route enhancement packs made by londonmidland and his team work okay. I only have his tsw3 ones but so far no problem with those

I usually don't play on british routes or any other ones because I favor german rail stuff, and I cannot say anything about the MML EP.

okay nevermind that was because I launched my saved last game with the other lighting settings god damn it I am such a mess

 

I think that's down to the tsw3 lighting but do test it out first

 

yeah I believe everything is fine for now
