Does the Blackpool route or Wherry lines contain stations off the beaten path? There is a pattern now with the hints. As the DTG usual guy has dropped off the radar(until 22nd Aug) DTG might be using social media to drop us hints. If not (above routes) then possibly Scotland Highland route, Western Lines of Scotland or the Black Forrest route in Germany? So far, they have given us stations with beautiful architecture, scenery in rural or away from city areas, and this. Plus the TSC screenshot with the German loco and I believe it to be hinting a route editor (NDA huh?) as it mentions creation in the post. So unless some of you have some knowledge of routes with these "out of the city qualities", it is a mystery. If so, please share!!! Only 6 days now until the big announcement.
Rivet already hinted at a potential west highland line. This just makes is even more plausible. Very interesting...
I don't use the Musk or Zuckerberg platforms anymore and DTG ignores Mastodon so enlighten me. I understand #OffTheBeatenPath is the hashtag for TSW(4?) hints? What else was there to find?
Twitter or X as it is now imaginatively known is awful frankly, generally a group of echo chambers of people who cannot counternance other than their own narrow view. I only use it to moan at West Midlands Railway.
Frome has only one operational platform though and the train shed is wooden (IIRC). Could be Bristol Temple Meads but the platforms should be more sharply curved. Or Penzance, maybe but I can't think of many other stations served by GWR that have an iron and glass overall roof as shown.
They said "A steam train would look great over Glenfinnan Viaduct...[eyes emoji]" Previously before Edinburgh to Glasgow they said "a class 385 would be lovely too...[eyes emoji]" Can't find exact post but it's on the rivet forums somewhere. Probably one of my posts (my username is just "Nathan")
It's definitely Penzance. The screenshot is just advertising rural routes already in the game I think.
Yep. back to your lives, citizens. Though it's ironic that it features a HST which both Rivet and DTG both completely stonewalled about including in the original route - despite working most of the GWR main line Class One services.
Yea. Maybe there will be a modern route upgrade for WCl in the future. Although it's probably just them showcasing scenario planner.
No worries! I tried pointing it out earlier but I think everyone was in their own world of speculation at the time. Lol.
Man I'd love to see GWR get a revamp or some kind of love especially now with the modern timetables they're doing that route is like one of the first train sim world routes and one of the first that I played being a fan of the series since the very beginning I'd love to see the first three roots get more love now especially with the modern timetables and longer freight they have in the game Oh it would be drool worthy
Would be well up for a West Highland Line route, but although I love 37s, we really need new stock types. So back in time with a nice class 27 diesel or forward with a class 156 dmu? The former would be fantastic but the latter would be great for layering on other routes.
They also posted this picture to their instagram which has the pacer that everyone speculates is going to be on the new JT route. I knowwww this may be a stretch but out of all trains to pick from.. a pacer, especially when talking about building something modern.
I think they mean building a train sim with modern technology, not the routes themselves being modern.
the thumbnail could just be chosen by gareth dennis for the stream and has nothing to do with anything else, or really hinting at anything. he even said in the stream that he had played tsc so it could just be a screenshot from it
I mean Preston to Blackpool with a pacer is basically confirmed at this point so maybr their just hinting at that again? As said above tho, it's probably just a thumbnail.
It's already 99% for a Pacer on the JT Route. That thumbnail doesn't confirm that. It's a screenshot from TSC which is still being developed in the modern era. Nothing more to it.
