Here's an example: On Foot > San Jose > 11.10am Look at the train right in front of you, it's the 143 service. If you get the F40PH w/ Gallery Cars train, restart until you get a MP36 with Bi-Level Cars. Board and take over, drive to San Francisco. The Baby Bullet timetable is a subset of the F40PH timetable, and the Bi-Level Cab Car would likely be a subset of the Gallery Cab Car schedule. You can pick any Gallery Cab Car service, spawn on foot and try to see if you get a Bullet train by restarting.
UPDATE: I think there's a foolproof way to identify which of the Gallery Cab Car services are being subbed by Bi-Level Cab Car services. If you look in the Baby Bullet timetable and write down all the ECS moves from CEMOF to San Jose, these must be followed by Bi-Level Cab Car services from San Jose to San Francisco. For example, the first ECS move of the day is at 7:35am. So, the very first Bi-Level Cab Car service is the 323 at 7:48am. I spawned on foot at 7:45, found the train and I am now boarding passengers.
Thank you! Can use it now. Really shouldn't have to do such workarounds to get something to work, but I guess that's DTG and their "don't patch DLC, only sell new DLC plan".
Just pointing this out again since I see some are still living life without the bi level cab car. So yeah I hope that my earlier post helps you as I feel the bi level cab car is the best Peninsula Corridor experience.
That doesn't work for me on XSX. The Baby Bullet timetable only contains San Fran to San Jose services, a few Empty from Depot (where you bring a train into service from CEMOF to San Jose), and one Empty to Depot (San Fran to CEMOF). These are all southbound services.
Oh good to know that isn't working for XSX. So maybe only applies to ps4. Sorry about that I wish the workaround was an option for everyone.
Working on a proper solution at the moment. Think i've just about got it cracked so hopefully update soon. Tired, but happy Matt.
Too much to do! Haven't gone to bed yet Be glad to get this bullet problem behind me - I got service #143 and anything like it cured as well. Slowly working my way through back log of gameplay bug fixes. Matt.
Firstly, thank you so much! Can't wait to be able to use the cab car again. Secondly, as a fellow UK dweller, you suffering from insomnia as well lol?
Well thank you and your team for all the hard work. We really appreciate it. Can’t wait for all the exciting news next Tuesday. I hope you get some rest soon though. Don’t want to make the boss mad .
Glad to hear Peninsula Corridor has not been forgotten. Looking forward to dusting it off and giving the Baby Bullet and its cab car a reprise. (Though not as much as I’m looking forward to thrashing its equivalent up Soledad Canyon, looking out for Dennis Weaver in his little car being pursued by the malicious truck driver. ).
With this sort of dedication, I really hope that these fixes won't end up like the TSW 2 ones, and never see the light of day. Would be a sad waste of time, effort, and from our end, hope.
If the fix is posted somewhere online could someone post the link here so we can use the cab car again?
Technically they did see the light of day. But you had to purchase TSW3. So they will propbably be released for TSW4 but not TSW3. Just like the NYT timetable will be.
I logged back into my TSC Mods account and republished it https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...patches/i3309-caltrain-baby-bullet-tsw3-fixes Keep in mind that if there’s a UE version upgrade this year this mod won’t be supported further.
You can also access cab car runs through the Journey. Not that this is a replacement for a real bugfix to the DLC.
