DTG JD i tried to pre order deluxe edition. I see it in the store but I’m getting an error when I try to buy it.
Hi nepclassof84 Unfortunately, the error message doesn't give us a lot of information. However, I have been able to reach the payment confirmation screen on every pre-order bundle via my own console. This is past the payment confirmation screen there is nothing wrong with my account I have sufficient Microsoft cash already there to cover it so it’s not a credit card issue either
Have you checked your emails/bank account to make sure the payment hasn't gone through? There is no bank account. I have Microsoft cash. no .. I’m not going to buy it from the website I’m going to get it from the Xbox store like any other game. no .. I expect dtg to sort this out if you want me to buy the game
In fairness you are buying it on the Xbox store. If Tesco have an issue with your payment when buying Kellogg's corn flakes you complain and get help from Tesco not Kellogg's, same situation here, Xbox being Tesco DTG being Kellogg's and corn flakes being TSW4 Anyway I will be pre-ordering deluxe on mine at some point so will let you know if I have the same issue.
It is not an issue with my payment using your analogy I’m standing in tesco with cash in my hand and they say nope … oops we got a problem I’m interested to see if you can pre order. I’ve gotten dozens of games off the store … this smells like there’s a problem related to it’s addition to the store. The Xbox store is quite reliable
I can confirm the same problem. Tried it yesterday and after 24h. XSX. UK Xbox account, Visa card by Revolut. Revolut app shows prompt that card verification by Microsoft succeeded, but there was no usual prompt to confirm payment within 1 minute. Last week was able to buy Stray game with no problems. Something wrong at Microsoft store side.
More details: I was able to preorder Deluxe edition of TSW4 when using MasterCard of my local bank. Just for experiment I used previously failing Revolut virtual VISA card and was also able to buy Norfolk Southern Heritage loco pack. Loco pack was cheaper, so probably it does less validation, but I still think that problem is at server side, related to pre-ordering TSW4.

To confirm, this doesn't seem to be a widespread problem. I think I've had this happen occasionally on certain games, so it seems to be an infrequent MS store issue. I think it once happened with a loco DLC for TSW I tried to buy, even as all the other TSW DLC I bought that day before and after trying to buy that one went through fine. Workaround I found that time was to buy it using my alternate XBox account and gift it to myself. Same card, same details, on the same XBox, purchase went without a hitch.
It's amazing how quickly this thread got answered, but how there are no DTG staff at all in the threads about broken things on TSW2 and TSW3. Pretty sure there's a lesson in this for people planning on buying TSW4......
Yep silent questions means no positive answers. That's why I know many bugs from tsw3 will remain in tsw4, unfortunately
