Any DLC released after TSW4 is released will be TSW4 compatible only. Exactly the same as what happened with TSW3. You will have to buy TSW4 to play the BR420 DLC pack when released. TSW3 will no longer be supported and de listed after TSW4s release
They have other projects they are working on. It’s just in a slow development, it’ll come when they want it to.

The train is not from DTG, its my train. I decide when or if i release it at all. I don't make it for grumpy persons like you seem to be. You will need to wait to 2040 now.
Have some respect for developers. If you want it faster, you could create it yourself, but don't be disrespecting developers because you are unhappy
I am on neither side. On the one hand, I do wonder what it took over a year to make a train but less for a full route, on the other hand I don't want them to listen to people who are just mad, I do look forward to the 420, it'll sure be some fresh air from all the 423s on the S-Bahn lines around Munich. hope it'll come out soon. Maik Goltz if I may ask, what is still left to do on the 420? is it in its finishing stages already or still not that good enough, or however you call it?
BR101, BR612, BR401, BR110, BR103, ÖBB4024 ... just to name some. And now the not up to date route with no memory left. No, it is not near any finished state. I threw away the simulation setup from 2 years ago and started from scratch with the stuff i learned since then. And plans changed today again to a other direction.
Well it's up to dtg to update hma before tsg can add the 420. It is in an unstable state and has to work on last gen consoles which don't have any layers due to memory. Sure, pc players could have no problems running it, but last gen still exists. Selling a loco dlc for next gen or pc only wouldn't make sense at all
The willingness to redo stuff you have already done because you have learned to do better since then is respectable. Glad to hear you are taking pride in your work. What do the changed plans mean? It will be used on another route than originally planned? Or different iteration of the same train (different era or operator)?
The past has proven, TSGs dlcs are totally worth all the time we have to wait + its price on top. Not sure why you think things get faster with posts like yours. You can always start as 3rd party and sell your locos in a way faster creation cycle.
Pushing for urgent fixes is ok, but don't push development. It's released when it's done. On the other hand, it's an indicator for the dev that people really want this DLC
No, the train stays as it is as a Munich S-Bahn. That will not change yet since the 3d art is already completely done. The new plans will reorder the releases i have planned. The 420 will need to wait even more now. What is, from my perspective, not really a huge problem. This stuff does not get rotten over time. It will wait for its chance to shine on the stage. It's not running away.
Sounds either like a) another TSG loco will now release before the 420 (so 232 or 218) or b) another 2nd party project for DTG will be the priority (maybe the Austrian loco DLC? Maybe the loco for the new german route?) or c) a combination of a) and b).
Still waiting patiently for the BR420. In TSC it is one of the better, if not the best, German EMU. A 1970's tech train
The best would be Maik Goltz' 425. That 420 from Influenzo is well done though, but has a totally off driver camera position which I've adjusted also added a static EBuLa image.... ZusiDisplay is a very helpful tool
Fun fact: 425 made by me and Influenzo, 420 made by me and Influenzo EDIT: ah AND .... TSW 420 made by me and Influenzo ....... this damn world is really tiny
