Really looking forward to the enhanced SKA timetable, and encouraged that you're still revisiting timetables!
Really loving these new graphic summaries and very pleased about TSW4 features and ECML and FS, especially the section chosen. JT's route is shaping up to be a real gooden too. I do have a couple of quick clarifying questions. You say there are some interesting LC on the ECML route which is true, does this mean you have included Woodcroft crossing in the route? What year is the ECML actually set? Will the class 45 layer onto JT's route? (Answered, thanks JD) Will the 5 aspect signalling be implemented in game? I will leave these here as I am sure there will be a Q&A thread somewhere to ask deeper questions. Hopefully these won't be too difficult to answer though. I am very much looking for ward to the 21st of September!
Vorarlberg seems to be set a few years ago, incidentally. Lindau Hbf is now called Lindau-Insel (they diverted the Munich - Zurich services to a mainland station so that they don't need to reverse) and more of the station is electrified now, as the line from Munich is.
When TSW4 was leaked I was incredibly sceptical about it, especially only a year after TSW3, which was fairly underwhelming imo. Now I'm absolutely not. Seriously looking forward to this, especially as someone who enjoys the LD/SP side of things.
My god, BR 187 sound updates. It only took 2 entire games to get them. Hopefully there’s a preview for them. There’s quite a lot of exciting stuff in the roadmap, but is there any real reason most of it can’t be added to TSW 3 first? It feels abit dirty that a lot of what’s in that roadmap was confirmed for TSW 3, but now it seems like it’ll never see it.
The timetable update to NYT looks good, has there been any mention if the pantograph issues have been fixed? I'm still seeing AI trains with lowered pantographs drive by half a year after release...
Speculation on my part here, I'm guessing the new loco from the new (unnamed) third party is the class 104 for PFR.
Will say the mountains in Antelope Valley look alot better than Cajon Pass, so that's a plus, hope some info on freight is available in the future. (UP vs BNSF, playable layers, LATC yard, avaliable sidings in free roam)
It seems so. In addition, the rolling stock is getting outdated now. The ÖBB Class 4024 is currently being replaced by ÖBB Class 4748 (Siemens Desiro Mainline) in Vorarlberg.
On the JT stuff - the locos layered are available here: https://www.justtrains.net/in-development/tsw-blackpool-preston-ormskirk-route-addon
Loving the new updates to SEHS just watched the video also that music OMG so wonderful i hope we not to far away now on some more details know for NEC NY - Trenton i would like to know how many more Services are coming and also the floating bits are all been fixed and that indeed we get to drive some of the freight been added i would be nice to add a Extended NEC and bring back the Hells Gate side as just on the other side of that is many holding yards where we would indeed do Freight trips so maybe something to think about DOVETAIL!! on bringing back into TSW and give us OG's our NEC Back
Thanks JD I didn't even notice that part before. I will copy and paste, along with add to my other questions to the Q&A thread.
will the AI train drivers finally be updated to look like other new NPCs? they really look out of place. (more character customization options would be nice too but i dont
I'm sorry, but we heard all this before when TSW3 came out. It's quite obvious that "at a later date" really means "never".
This is all very exciting and I can’t wait to get my hands on the early release!! One question, however - where is the Caltrain / Peninsula Corridor update?
For Loco Pack new partner I see this possibly being Rsslo 1293 Vectron 1216 Taurus III 1016/1116 with Wiesel Dosto. The Austrian 1016-1216s can then sub in where their DB MRCE and Dispolok Taurus locomotives can run. Possibly pull Dosto 767.2 766.2 780 785 instead of the 146.2 DR BR212/243
1 thing that we needed but we didn't asked for, a DB Regio 628! The roadmap itself is very good, looking forward to the 2nd part!
Will we be able to run UP or BNSF freight services on the Metrolink route along side the EMD F125s. By the way, the Metrolink F125s are pretty cool to see in TSW4.
Will the Doncaster Carr Depot be in ECML Donny to Peterborough route and will there be ecs for the azumas leaving the depot
That I really do hope for. The depot is adjacent to the mainline south of Doncaster so I don’t see why not
