What will be the first train and route you are going to try out on TSW 4, when it releases? I would like to know your thoughts. For me, the first train I am going to drive is LNER 4-6-2 Class A3 no. 60103 Flying Scotsman on ECML: Peterborough - Doncaster. I have always wanted to drive the locomotive and will finally be able to.
Should all go well it will be the class 801 on Peterborough to Doncaster (not decided which direction) Edit: I’ve decided on direction 801 Doncaster Peterborough then a service with the Flying Scotsman from Peterborough back to Doncaster
Antelope Valley, LA up to Lancaster. I've wanted to drive through Soledad Canyon ever since learning about the route in the early 90's. 30 years later and that dream will be fulfilled.
I have a couple of reservations so far, so want to see and hear more (already some coming soon conditions, uncertainty around various bits and when they’ll be coming and there was definitely an allusion to some content not coming over from TSW 3). I’m also concerned about performance. If all looks to be ok though, I’ll be taking the 801 out for a play first, followed by the F125. The talent 1 is honestly the most disgusting EMU I’ve seen, and it kills the Austrian route for me.
None of them, massively underwhelming choice of routes and locos, will not be buying anything for the next 12months by looks of the road map so ill save a few quid.
It kind of feels weird to buy a complete new tsw game after only 1 year, but I am really happy for the upcoming new routes and features for ps5 I'm kind of disappointed, that we still didn't get multiplayer, or a new game mode like for train guard, ticked control
Antelope Valley down the line when can afford. That route will showcase how much of a spectrum the different climates of LA county are on. Will be a real treat and I'm excited for that Rotem Cab Car. Might bump the bi level cab car on my favorite passenger rides.
I don't know. I feel inclined to try Antilope Valley first just because I watched a video about it and still did not watch any video of the others. Will decide after the previews. Right now I feel a bit worried that there will not be enough rolling stock (default or from layers) to make any of the new routes feel alive.
Antelope Valley to see how good or bad the route is ,then refund within the steam window and wait for the regional bundle
801 down the GWML in a CC GWR Livery, if I ever get around to buying 4, in spite of my dislike for it
ICE BR 406 from Riesa to Dresden with the new lighting After that, the new US route. Freight if possible.
I think for me it will probably be the Talent 1 on Voralberg. The route looks really pretty from the screenshots shown so far, and the Talent (1 and 2) EMUs look so good!
Perhaps I'll start by spawning on foot at Los Angeles Union Station, just watch the Metrolink trains come in and out. Nowhere near as busy as something like the MBTA, but should still have a decent amount of traffic at rush hour. Definitely will have to start with the F125 once I start driving. Though there's also a chance I start with the S-Bahn Vorarlberg! I'm quite excited to see what Austria's like. Though perhaps that'll be on foot, so the Metrolink F125 may still be my first drive.
I think I will start with Antelope. The route is of less interest to me, so I will play and finish it soon. Hoping for a RailJet DLC on Vorarlberg. ECML will also have to wait until I got some inlayering routes/locos such as the 700 or 158.
dresden riesa with the ICE 3M from KAH with the partially broken windshield reflection (which was fixed on the KWG ICE 3), would be interesting to see if the issue is still there on updated DRA. and Vorarlberg might be interesting, especially with the layering of the SBB RABe 523 and the Vectron if I read it right
First thing i'll be doing is a return trip from Doncaster to Peterborough, i cannot wait for this route! also the Austria route looks really interesting, i know very little about it but look forward to trying it out too
Think people! A revamped route and 3 new routes. Which of the 4 routes will get the most praise at launch? BPE was a welcome gift next to a new route if I remember correctly. I'm gonna play the hell out of Dresden at launch. I want the best experience at launch
The 801 of course. I have been on the Azumas before, but now I get to actually drive one! Then obviously I will drive the Flying Scotsman. The Antelope Valley might be the first non-British route I try for a while.
Probably Antelope valley cuz ‘Murica But I probably won’t even finish a run before I skip to that Austrian route right afterwards. Ok thanks Buzz Killington, can you at least pass the salt then I could use some for my fries
Might actually do that myself, rather than Antelope Valley. Quick blast on an Azuma before telporting 6000 miles to LA!
I think I’ll start off with the 09:59, that one stops at all the stations, then I’ll follow up with a fast service. I suspect the 10:18 will hit yellows though which could be interesting.
Yes this is why I was specifically going for the 1018, the 0959 can be a right pain in the rear (or should I say infront) for the 1018 especially if it's a 225 on it, though being an 801 on TSW it may not obstruct the 1018 too much if at all as it won't have any delay either. I will still go with the 1018 departure from Peterborough though.
Explaination added to the first (at the time unfinished) post. Thanks for cementing that in internet history forever mate, I thought I had got away with it.
I'll start with a full out and back trip on AVL then I'll try out Voralberg, When I'll get to LGV (UK), I mean ECML, is anybody's guess.
The Vectron on DRA. I am so excited to see this route get an update. My second run with be with Free Roam. I just found out on the stream that you can spawn an extra train in service mode. This is the holy grail of adverse signal runs!
There was also an option to ignore the thread, without even pressing a button! Anyway, sign me up for Peterborough -> Doncaster in an 801.
