After subscribing to multiple profiles and downloading MANY freight/boxcar/wagon liveries, how and where will I see them in my game?

If you select a custom livery to drive, then you're guaranteed to see it.

Otherwise, they might show up randomly on AI services in timetable mode. Some show up more than others. On some routes, this feature doesn't work at all, such as BKL and now, apparently, CJP. On SEHS, liveries for freight wagons don't appear to work either. Some units, like the 66 and 395, seem to spawn very frequently with custom liveries, while on others, such as the 465, the liveries don't appear as often.

ALSO, there is a limit to how many will appear at a time, no matter how many you've subscribed to. I think the most you can see is five. SPG is very good for this; there are all kinds of liveries for it, and they appear very often. They also appear on some routes where SPG layers wagons, such as HAR, which is another good route for custom liveries.

I wondered why I wasn't seeing my custom liveries in Cajon Pass other than the locos. That really sucks. For me that is one of the best features of this game -- the ability to customize the equipment and see it in action. It's probably the main reason I even upgraded from TSW2020! Because honestly I was quite content with NEC and Oakville. But OH!! Custom paint would be so cool ;-)
And that's another thing ... I can run my custom locos in CJP but the freight cars only show up in Oakville. Similarly I can access the locos from CJP to customize, but not from Oakville. This makes no sense. There seems to be no consistency. Although I read in the Oct Road Map today that the Oakville stuff will eventually be available in Livery Designer. I hope this is sooner rather than later because if NEC CSX isn't going to be available then I want my Oakville stuff to go full game use.
IMHO priority should be given to importing stuff that people have already paid for to use and fixing the new version upgrade bugs. Forget the new routes and stuff for now and make it work with existing content. Then add more stuff. And if at all possible or by the grace of the TS Gods make the locos and other cars available across many routes instead of restricted to their own once customized. It would be really nice to be able to pull up the MP15 from CalTrain in CN Oakville for example (as an add-on loco perhaps?) in custom livery to do some old fashioned switching operations. Maybe asking for too much as a freelancer, but I would just like to have a larger variety of locos to customize and drive in game regardless of route association.

It is disappointing about CJP. I was also looking forward to seeing the custom liveries on this route. Others have also commented on their absence, and I submitted a ticket, but I have yet to hear anyone at DTG even acknowledge the problem. I don't know if this effects the F7 as well.

Yes it is. I still enjoy the route (and Oakville…. and NEC too on the old TSW2020) but I was expecting more custom livery interaction than has been provided. As I stated previously, to me this was the biggest draw. I do expect this will increase with time. But still a bit of an enthusiasm killer.
