As things stand you will lose your biggest fans and your player base. Have you seen the price of TSW4 for the poor improvements given? (Who should have been present from the start and for free!) We don't want to pay for a new game every year! (But also 2 or 3) We want big changes that realy needs a new game! We want a multiplayer, a real modding system available on all platforms, even if only pc players can create, we want them available on consoles, real scenario planner system, more efficient gameplay with the feeling of have a nod when the train stops, echo sound in the tunnels and so much more! You need to stop with UK, US AND DE!!! OPEN YOURSELF A LITTLE MORE TO SO MANY COUNTRIES THAT HAVE WHAT TO MAKE US PLEASURE! AND HEAR OUR CRIES PLEASE!!!
We love TSW franchise, dont kill it.

I'm sorry but the very title of this thread is very misleading, we did not all ask for the same things!

 

Nothing gets up my nose more. Than people on forums telling me what i think or what i should think.

Or what i should say about DTG, believe me i have my own views on them as a business.

Plenty of us are happy to buy TSW4.
No we don't want multiplayer, at all. Plenty of people have said numerous times they don't want it everytime someone mentions it.
"You need to stop with UK, US AND DE" also no. Most people want routes from these countries. I pretty much only buy UK and US routes. I have no interest in random European railways. The only other country I might be interested in is Japan for the Shinkansen, but other than that. Stick with the big three.

I dont feel that people want that much other countries beside UK, DE, US. I may be wrong however. If we look at TSC we can hope for one day have some Japan, more France, China, more Austria, more Switzerland, maybe South Africa but beside this ?
I think DTG knows also by numbers what sells well and what not. And ECML will sell.

1 - The features in TSW4 are amazing - Id happily pay 40 quid for an editor alone LET ALONE all the routes, locos and other upgrades. I think a LOT of people are happy with TSW4.

2 - Trust me. We do NOT want multiplayer.

3 - Console modding is impossible. Never happening in a million years, Workshop for PC editor, sure, but mods, no chance.

4 - These sound things are semi-nitpicks

5 - Those 3 are the main playerbase AND we have an austrian route. They'd loose more if they NEVER did the big 3

 

This is only going to go one way. Zero productive thought to be gleaned from it.

Of all the posts I’ve read lately, this really is up there with the worst of them. You say we all love TSW, well you’ve got a funny way of showing it !
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you seem to think your speaking for the whole forum, very poor attitude.
People can chose what they do, TSW3 or TSW 4, it’s up to them….not you!

 

The OP does not speak for me. Since he is addressing DTG, his question “have you seen the price of TSW4?” would almost certainly result in the answer “Yes!” since DTG will be setting the price. I do not want multiplayer. This is one of a growing number of tiresome threads on this forum. A bit ‘click bait’ like, kinda like where you see supposed news stories, the title doesn’t give much away so you have to click into the story and then the site earns money for all the ads you’ll see: “An amazing thing to do, we hope it becomes a huge success” being one I saw recently!

So this thread being entitled “We All Said The Same Thing” is exactly like click bait

 

I can confidently say that if the TSW4 launch content would have been released individually for TSW3 along with a free core update, I would’ve bought at least two of the routes. Even with a discount, that would probably still be 50€ or more. Thus, TSW4 actually saves me money with the pre-order discount. It’s a slightly abstract way to look at it, but it’s true.
The core changes are actually quite substantial, the TSW3 core changes seem really minor compared to this. In the end, we also have to realize that the TSW3 launch offering wasn’t very strong. Kassel-Würzburg got monotonous and boring quickly, SEHS was an extension that didn’t totally transform the route, and Cajon Pass was only appealing to a small portion of the playerbase. Comparatively, TSW4 looks very appealing as a whole (the core update and the routes).

 

I would probably have bought all three too so with the pre-order discount it's actually quite a huge bargain. And that's without the Flying Scotsman and the core updates/editors. Definitely a way better deal than the TSW3 pack.

 

Well I disagree with most of the opening post as well so count me out of 'All'. Post can be mostly corrected with find and replace substituting 'I' instead of 'We' and 'my' instead of 'our'. Even then I don't think I'd agree with much of it.

And yes I have seen the price. Absolute Bargain even though I only want 2 of the routes. My only quibble with the it is the foreign currency exchange rate in my country making it 25% more expensive than it should be, but they've applied that to all DLC (need to work out if Steam Gifting works from the UK, so I can pay in Pounds), so relatively it's still a bargain.

 

Multiplayer? The last thing I’d want in this game.

 

If you stop foaming at the mouth and actually digest the announcement then you'd know they have done just that with the release and one of the 3 core routes is Austrian with the promise of another Austrian route in the coming months.

 

I have my niggles with DTG and they aren't perfect (nor is anyone, or anything) but I have never said a lot of this and I for one am actually looking forward to the 21st of September much more than I was looking forward to the TSW2 and 3 release dates. Multiplayer is a big no, no.

Oh and just so you know using caps doesn't get you're point across any better, but makes you look incredibly demanding and seem like a bit of a rum one, to put it nicely.

Actually no - I got into trains right before the pandemic so I didnt really find TSW untill rush hour came out and It came as recomended by one of my freinds so yeah - I had a LOT of hype for TSW2 as it downloaded. TSW3 I was looking forward to but nothing like TSW2. However THIS, I am estatic for. Shame its a later september release but still extremely looking forward to it regardless and one of my most hyped games of the year - Only being beaten by my hype for TOTK.

 

I can unequivocally state that I will never ever play TSW in a multi-player mode. even if it was given to me for free. Some of the behaviour from some on the forums is bad enough without having to suffer it in game also!

 

I´m also happy with the huge changes and happy to pay for them. I want to stick with the "big 3" countries and I don´t want a multiplayer. So you are also not speaking for me.

Yep, have to agree with that. Rail sims like TSW (I believe) are a bit of therapy. In this 100mph world we live in nowadays I for one just want to escape for awhile, drive a big machine to a schedule (and get it right while getting some relaxing me time to boot.
I have NEVER played multiplayer in ANY game EVA, and never will.

 

OP also not speaking for me. And I've been on since TSW2020. I own all DLC and don't even have any other game installed on my Series X.

It all I play, so I would think that would make me one of TSW's biggest fans.

I've already pre ordered the deluxe version, so your statement is wrong.

I also think the majority of people complaining that it should be a free update are PC users who also play TSC.

Not understanding that its a different game, with a different business model. Just because it's DTG that make both doesn't mean it has to be the same.

TSC still runs on an engine developed about 13 years ago. TSW uses a newer one. TSC is PC only, TSW is for both PC and console with most users on consoles.

In fact one of the main reasons TSW was developed in the first place was to give console users a PC quality train simulator. Something we never had access to before. So we are not going anywhere and are used to paying for each new version.

So it doesn't bother alot of us. And others see that you are getting 3 routes and 2 trains for the price of 1 Route and 1 Loco with the deluxe version. (4 routes if you don't already own DRA) That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I don't know how it wouldn't.

The ones who are complaining about business practices, I do see there point of view and completely understand, it is thier right to not buy or stop playing, and fine post your grievances, but just once would be nice, and not 5 or 6 times. But personally I don't care its not like they are killing tigers or dumping chemicals.

 

I have to say one thing, please don't try to speak for everyone else, change the title to "I" instead of "We" and then it will be correct.

 

well, playing other train simulating game might be the option if you want to play another country's railway system, which is what i'm doing now about my homeland railway. TSW's fan range is what is called as reality.

The OP doesn't talk for me, TSW3 was an evolution from TSW2, TSW4 is a revolution from TSW3 with the core upgrades and others added to it, the Scenery in Austria looks incredible and I can't wait to see what the future holds. It'll be a day one purchase for me.

Not sure about making mods BUT console modding IS possible! Fallout 4 and Farm SIM 19 & 22 all had player created mods available on console!

 

Through their own modhub aka making mods on PC and uploading it on Giants own modhub

 

I dont want multiplayer, and if you really up to mods, which are great in my opinion, than you have to go for pc.

 

Your opinion is your opinion doesn't stop us from pre ordering/ buying TSW4.

 

Best way to see how many people agree with your opinion is to post a poll about it. I don't really care about yearly new versions. Yes of course more more countries would be nice but the biggest issue for me is performance and quality. Still didn't upgrade to TSW3 because I know the stutters would definitely annoy me. Also the buggy release of some of the DLC's shouldn't happen in these numbers. So I will, like we say in Dutch watch the cat out of the three (means that you will wait to see what happens).
