Hello, I am after some advice if anyone can help please. I'm thinking of upgrading from Xbox Series S to the Series X and when I get it set up with all my details etc can I transfer Train Sim World and all my Dlcs straight over or do I have to buy them all again. Thankyou.

yes as it is bought digitally all your dlc will just be able to install it again you should not have have buy any of your routes that would only be if you switch from Xbox to pc for example, however I'm not sure if your medals go across I cant remember if they did or not when I upgraded

Unless you have gigabit internet, a method that's faster than downloading your games again is to turn on "Network Transfer" in the system settings and then copy all your games over your local network between them. Or if you have your games on an XBox memory card, just move them via that.

Your saves and owned games are all linked to your XBox account so just log in to it with your name and password on the new XBox and you can immediately continue where you left off. You can even move back and forth between consoles as you please.

Thats great, thanks for the reply. I'm hoping the upgrade will stop the occasional crashes I get on London Commuter and SEHS.

I think this is worth repeating, because I've seen a total lack of awareness on this board: Both TSW2 and TSW3 were/are essentially Play Anywhere titles, meaning you get both the console version and PC version with one purchase. This wasn't/isn't promoted by DTG or Microsoft so it's understandable that people don't know about it.

I do however lack confirmation from non Game Pass members, meaning I don't know if it's exclusive to people having GP at the time of purchase. I'd appreciate it if non-members could fire up the Xbox PC store and have a look.

Non Game Pass players should be able to install to PC. TSW3 has supported PC since launch on the Microsoft/Xbox Store. If you want TSW4 on PC, you can get it from Xbox.com (not coming to Game Pass), Steam or Epic. Obviously pick the store you have previously purchased content on to get your add-ons carried across. If you've played TSW3 on PC Game Pass and bought add-ons then you'd need to get it on Xbox.com.

You can see this on the store page of any game.

The quickest way to transfer the game is buy a storage card and transfer the game onto that after setting it up to be used in other consoles. Once that's done you just switch the card between consoles and you can still be playing the game while you move it from the console to the storage card.
