Hey guys today I will be making a suggestion for the West Anglia Mainline, a very busy mainline that runs between London - Cambridge and Kings Lynn, I will be suggesting the section of the route to Ely from Liverpool Street. Era wise I will be suggesting the modern era as it has the most realistic amount of rolling stock to implement into the game. Map of the route Why this route? Just like the rush hour pack for TSW2, this route very heavily takes similarities from Brighton mainline, with a high frequency timetable and a specialised faster Airport Express operator. It also opens up another region of the United Kingdom which is the highly requested East Anglia region of England which is underrepresented in Train Sim World. It also has a very decent variety of trains, and freight and special layers. Video of the route Units to be included on the route Class 720 Class 745/755 Class 700 and 387 layer in from Cambridge to increase timetable and immersion into the game. Branches: To increase replayability - there should be branches included in the route, like the Hertford East Line and Stanstead branches, which like BML would give access to a lot more flexibility in service patterns and movements. General Length of route is 67 miles Length of branches(Hertford) is 7 miles Potential DLC includes the Class 317s, 379s and Class 321s which would layer into the timetable as an EMU pack for the route. A possible extension to Kings Lynn could come as DLC for great northern 387s to be able to have more room for express services. feel free to give thoughts about suggestion
Excellent idea! While the 720 and 745 is a good choice of rolling stock, the rolling stock likely to be used is the 317 and 379. It would also be good to add the 315 while also adding the branches to Enfield Town and Chingford for maximum potential.
I like, but not the 720s, 745s or 755s please. They are ugly compared to older stock (although out of them all, the 720 is the best looking).
This route is often requested and I hope it comes in TSW4 at some point I suggested the same stock when I suggested this line a while back however I think the 379s and 317s would be better for this route if DTG didn't want to make an Aventra or a FLIRT
