UKTrainSim is gone. [EDIT: Site is back online, will be down for good later today. Will update then, but thread can start now.]



The purpose of this thread can be to point out where various files that were available on the site have gone so we can locate various things that are needed. For instance, the BeluxTrains scenario packs appear at railsim-fr and rail-sim.de.

See my reply. Site went down in the morning of the 31st in the UK, it is certainly valid to think that was it.

 

That's what we call an outage and this should be the last!

 

As of 19.30 BST the site is still running but a bit slow.

 

Just had a quick look at 19:39 BST and found this.

Wow 909 just a few days ago.

 

11 days to be exact!

Can't have much time before UKTS goes now...

 

When you get to my age 11 days feels like only a few days.

 

Looking at 3:30 a.m. ET and it's still online.

You mean a few hours?

 

13.30 UK time and it is still open

 

And it will stay open as Matt has confirmed it will stay active until the servers pull the plug on it. Possible Monday during office hours. But again we have a thread about UKTS already so best to use that one than clutter with another thread.

I find it interesting that although both Cyclone and me posted the same information you only decided to have a go at Cyclone and just tell him about another thread and that people should not be posting in this thread - even if it is about the closure of UKTS?

Why is that?

 

1. Because I am on mobile and doing multiple quotes is awkward

2. where did I say people SHOULDNT post in this thread. Re read my reply and show where I said those words you suggested. I said we already a thread about ukts and it’s closure so best to use that one to avoid cluttering the forums. Completely different to what you suggested.

 

As you said - we have another thread so we should not use this one.
Even if nobody else posts in this thread it will still stay on the main General Discussion page so you have not exactly uncluttered the page and UKTS will be gone by mid week so why are you bothered?

Last thing i am saying on the matter. I was replying to 749006 whom i have got absoloutly no issues with whatsoever i actually think he is a really nice guy in the community. Cyclone then decided to reply and TRY and get a further reaction when he has been advised further upfield not to. I have dropped the mods a message and asked them to deal with that.

The reason behind my reply is you did not answer what I asked you and simple told me to read Matt's post.

I wanted to know how having another thread that refers to the closure of UKTS is to use your words

So I ask again - how is having a second thread on a subject causing clutter?
There are a lot of threads on this forum that have been duplicated without any problems
