I am looking for 2 or 3 volunteers to try out a new scenario for the Marsdonshire Route, before I publish it on the Steam Workshop. The scenario will take about 2.5 hours to complete. You will load some coal cars at the mine, haul them to the power plant, and then unload them. The scenario features career-style scoring (but no XP, sorry). There are no other DLC requirements. .
I haven't found anyone to test this scenario, so I have published it in the Steam Workshop as is -- I have run it several times and it works for me, so hopefully it will also work for other people. I have named the scenario "[Class37] Anstone Mine to Llandothry Power Plant". This scenario features career-style scoring (but no XP, sorry). There are no timetabled instructions, so you do not need to meet a schedule -- you can achieve a perfect score by performing all of the load/unload operations, respecting the speed limits, and avoiding emergency braking. Requires no additional DLC. Run time: 2.5 hours. The scenario is currently available for friends. Best Regards, Dan.Reid
Sorry I'm not into fictional routes and guess that's true for many others here hence your lack of offers to test it for you, I'm sure they'll let you know on Steam if there are any problems which you'll then be able to fix and update if need be.
That is the standard way of it People will either comment or vote. There is an automatic #final tag which only applies if you get a certain number of upvotes. Just be brave, what can happen? There are a few reasons why the community doesn't resonate: Most UK-devoted players have a higher quality version. Many have already experienced this specific equipment a lot and / or simply have no plans to further. Career scenarios aren't too popular, particularly for a scenario like this. I did a lot of activity like this back in 2016-2017 when I was playing the ECML, also Settle-Carlisle. Was fun! Casually.
This scenario is now publicly available. I have named the scenario "[Class37] Anstone Mine to Llandothry Power Plant". Comments and criticism are welcome. Regards, Dan.Reid
