I don't even need to watch the video as we all know which ones best. I will watch it when I get home later though!
Hello everyone. While on vacation in the village, I got to my local train station just to watch some trains to kill boredom. So I filmed this OSE Class 120 Electric Locomotive in Hellenic Train blue Livery(locomotive). Train performs the passenger operation : InterCity 55 Athens - Thessaloniki - Athens & intermediate stations. Youtube Short/Video by me.
Is that a China Railways SY loco or not? I've been on one China Railways SY loco 142 in Easton PA area along the PRR Bel Del line
It is a Chinese-built locomotive that's been heavily modified to resemble a New Haven J1; I am not quite sure what the Chinese classification would be
It is the Sy locomotive under Chinese Designation link is from Wikipedia . Build date 1989-1991 with PRR Bel-Del Branch 142 locomotive

Cross Country HSTs (class 43s) end their service this weekend in the UK. It is not confirmed yet which services will be their final workings. After the 18th September, there will be no more XC HSTs running on the network except for ECS moves to storage or disposal. There will be one last farewell railtour to Swanage and Bournemouth from Leeds on Tuesday 26th September. This will most likely be run with 43007 and 43008 in their old BR Intercity liveries.
The tour is definetly 43007 & 43008 (of course given they don’t fail which happend recently to 43303 & 43304) they even took 43007 & 43008 out of service on the 5th and I was on their penultimate run on 1S51 Plymouth - Glasgow from Bristol Parkway to Glasgow and then they worked the following morning from Edinburgh. 43008 at Glasgow.
Some photos from the Connecticut Trolley Museum I took while waiting for my Guest Motorman operating session.
And some photos and videos I took of the Walt Disney World Railroad while visiting the Magic Kingdom this past week. Walter Disney's crew was extremely friendly and put on a good show departing Fantasyland, but sadly I lost that video. Photos: Videos:
Some of the stuff I saw during my Berlin trip and on the way back, I did not want to spam this board with pictures of my trip to the Technikmuseum there
Had a lovely trip to Hamburg recently. With Hamburg-Lubeck one of my favourite TSW routes, it was finally great to see it in reality, especially the majestic Hamburg Hbf as well as the BR 112: Hamburg Hbf: Continued...
Those who play Hamburg-Lubeck will recognise these two stations from the route on a lovely sunny day: Ahrensburg: Hasslebrook: Continued...
Finally, some extra pics from my trip including at Hamburg Harburg as well as Hamburg's S-Bahn and U-Bahn: Hamburg Harburg: Hamburg S-Bahn Hamburg U-Bahn
Awesome shots, especially of the Hbf. You know it's a busy station when multiple trains stack on the same track.
Here is a photo of 87001 at Preston. Now that we have the Blackpool line coming, we could do with a line which offers electric locomotives. So we can swap locos like they used to do. Also something that in my opinion needs making is the good old Class 104. And since I don't think I saw any posted, here is TSWs favourite 1st Gen DMU. A class 101. Taken at Fairfield, where a friend of mine thought it would be a good place to get off. not realising that the next train would be the exact same unit coming back from Rose Hill.
A small video of a Rail Cargo Logistics/Goldair driver in Greece ... Train in video: ES64P Siemens Eurosprinter -in Greece known as OSE(now Hellenic Train) class 120 "Hellas Sprinter" in Rail Cargo Logistics/Goldair livery. Video/property of The Hellenic Trainspotters on YouTube.
Many thanks, it was a lovely trip! Indeed, no doubt why Hamburg Hbf is the busiest station in Germany - quite an interesting variety of trains complementing DB as well which was nice to see.
Flying Scotsman has been involved in a collision at around 19:00 (7pm) at Aviemore station for the Strathspey Railway. The collision occurred when Flying Scotsman was shunting onto the Royal Scot's coaches on platform 3. 2 people were taken to hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the collision and it is believed 3 others suffered minor injuries not requiring hospital treatment. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-66967170
Just finished making this video of my trip on the famous Jacobite Steam Train! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HZYVE38GmE0vrGPQo3VaeTIXatkc52qR/view?usp=drivesdk Please enjoy!
The Naugatuck Railroad based in Thomaston, CT has begun a fundraising campaign to restore a steam locomotive for use on their scenic railroad. The unit is a 2-6-2 that hasn't been fired since the 70's, and it would be very cool to see steam on this line. The railroad is also looking for donations to restore their ex-New Haven RS3, #529, which is the last New Haven example in existence. https://railfan.com/railroad-museum-of-new-england-launches-campaign-to-restore-2-6-2/ https://www.rmne.org/ Also based in Connecticut, the Danbury Railway Museum is entering the homestretch in rescuing two of the last examples of New York Central electric locomotives from being scrapped at a power plant redevelopment project along the Hudson River in New York. The locomotives have spent decades in the woods and were purchased by the museum for preservation and cosmetic restoration. The process has been a struggle, with access to the site being limited due to terrain, lack of road access, and necessity to avoid an active construction site. It's good to see the units out of the woods and ready to go home. https://www.facebook.com/DanburyRR/...vGnzVh5itaEwHRkady2LUyiw21ZBCMiCuDahhyPub9x3l
The second passenger car for the Woodstown Central Railroad has been completed and as arrived at it's new home

Sooo DTG is now building train stations too. According to Der Spiegel the new Stuttgart Main Station (Stuttgart 21) will not be finnished on time, not all promised features will be included from the beginning and it will get more expensive. https://www.spiegel.de/politik/deut...n-mehr-a-dbd31dd2-b388-44d4-b8f6-9db14a7cb054
Not my content, but I have really enjoyed recent videos posted by YouTube user IC-Lokführer. These are from BR101 and BR146 passenger services, respectively. https://youtu.be/fZHQpWep1Iw https://youtu.be/Aa0hXHvhoek Unlike most other cab view videos, these show controls and gauges from inside the cab which are really useful in learning how to drive properly in the sim - especially the interplay between electric and train braking. They are also well narrated with captions (with the usual auto-translation glitches, but perfectly comprehensible). Both videos feature LZB operation. In the BR146 video, he drives through a lightning storm which knocks out the LZB transmission mid-journey, requiring an emergency speed reduction and snap transition to traditional signaling.
Had such an awesome visit to Geneva, a wonderful city and was also really impressed with SBB too. I really hope Rivet, another third-party developer or even DTG themselves bring more standard-gauge Swiss content to TSW as I think it would be really interesting. Anyway, here are some pictures from my visit to Switzerland, which includes Geneva's Cornavin station as well as Coppett, which is on the shores of Lake Geneva: All pictures taken by me
Where was that of to??? Dang it! I might've been able to see it if it was going to cross the border! What time was that pic taken? Gilly
