If you’ve bought special or deluxe then both, standard does not include the Scotsman

the country/lands known existence pre dates trains inventions entirely, it would take discovery of the land in question to be post about 1970, for it to have a valid reason to have just trains other than steam, except in efficiency of trains on it.

Having a Deltic instead of an Azuma would have severely reduced my excitement for Ecml, so I for one am really happy that we have the 801.

So they shouldn't create any railtour trains/preserved trains or trains that only run a couple of services? Be thankful for it

Updates are coming to certain tsw3 content like tutorials and some dlcs. For example, mml is getting updated day 1 of tsw4 launch on tsw3 and then ported over to tsw4.

Well, that's what they said. They said it about TSW2 as well.

You probably have to be at least 70 years old to remember steam trains in revenue service in the US.

First impressions after doing one service are surprisingly good. Or I am getting too old and too mild but I had not expected to end my first service with a smile. So far I can say well done!

Literally one of the biggest Class 1 railroads in the US has a steam locomotive that they've never retired. And has kept thier steam program alive to this day.

US railroads dieselized very rapidly after WW2, in only about 15 years. I believe that by 1960 no Class 1 was operating any steamers , except for the Alaska Railroad which kept them going until 1964.

Really positive love the free roam gonna take advantage of that however every time I press the external camera button on console nothing happens you have to press it a few times to get it to work kind of annoying but appart from that it's really good

No experience so far. Game is not downloading on PS5. You can download the core routes only. The hints in the special thread are not working. I will download Antelope now only.

Very positive actually. First i didn't wan't to buy TSW 4, but the Deluxe Edition was 52€ for me, which isn't so much considering you get the new game features, three new routes and two locos.

My personal highlight is the Siemens Vectron. It looks and sounds really awesome! The new HUD is great too and i really like the improved feedback on the Dualshock 5 controller.

    So far a purchase i don't regret! :)

Loving the utilisation of the light bar on the PS5 controller - shows green or red as appropriate.

Missed the standard hub and it took me a while to work out how to switch it on (the setting's always the last place you look!!) but I'll maybe try to get used to the new mini-hub.

Just did a short run on Antilope Valley and was very enjoyable. Able to set all sliders to either high or ultra and screen resolution at 4k and still am getting 40 - 50 fps most of the time. Will be trying ECML next. Running on a pc.

Um, is there any way to turn the in-game music off? I can't find a toggle in settings, and I find it very distracting.

I did the training course and one service on a 4024, and it seems wonderful except for one thing.
Lighting at a sunny day is so bright that I can't see the controls in the cabin - whether they are lit or not, Sifa, PZB, and all others. Yes, I know I can tune the brighness, but at max the PZB lamps are barely visible.

I went back to TSW3 to check, and there everything works just fine even on the sunniest on days.
Not sure what the issue is, but it's pretty much game breaking. I hope I'm just missing something obvious, because otherwise the route seems wonderful.

Your video card should have custom screen controls for brightness, contrast, gamma, saturation etc. Also, there are supplemental apps like ReShade and God Mode available.

Or you can use .ini tweaks.

    Hello.
Everything loaded correctly on Steam PC deluxe version.
(my TSW3 is on the same hard disk (2TO) as TSW4)
When I launched TSW4 and tried to import the data from TSW3, I got the message :
Importing your profile failed: insufficient disk space.
    Best regards

DenisJura On PC. I have TSW3 and TSW4 both on the same drive. I even moved the original TSW3 folder from my C: drive to my D: drive before installing TSW4 on the same drive. No warnings or issues during or after transferring TSW3 to my D: drive using the transfer option under settings in Steam. Both TSW3 and TSW4 are working fine on my desktop PC. I had no problems with importing my existing TSW3 profile in to TSW4.

Insufficient disk space? Is your disk full?

It's the modern version of the Scotsman, the way it is currently in the museum, and the way it is for it's centenary.

It's not the issue of display brightness etc. (yes, I checked just in case), it seems to be the way light is reflected.
I know there are apps and tweaks, but then it's the first TSW game where I'd need this kind of tweaks to even see what's happening.
It's not that it's "imperfect", it's that I literally can't see what is lit.

See here. The 85 is lit. Sifa is lit. Other white lamps are not lit.

Edit: I checked in the training centre and it seems to be a loco issue. There is a BR143 there too, for example, which also has PZB/Sifa with individual lights (not on MFD) and it works just fine in the very same weather.

none of my routes worked initially had to reboot.
    Where’s my tsw 3 content? I can’t install it.

You've got plenty of free disk space. Have you tried verifying both TSW3 & 4 files in Steam? As Scott295 says, I'd report it as a bug if the problem doesn't resolve itself.

Going to give better feedback after a few days of play,

but one thing I would add now is the hud settings, are quite difficult (causing me a bit of grief). In that the new signals and speed limits what sees ahead hud display, doesn’t display countdowns for how far away they are exactly, and you can’t turn it off for the old signal and speed limit aspect hud on the right side only, if I turn on speed limit hud aswell with look ahead hud, then signal aspects gets taken away in the look ahead hud.

I keep missing speed limits because of this and just failed a service as I tried to fix seeing when the speed limits come, and as explained above that turned of signal aspects and went straight through a red as I was towards the end of the service.

The look ahead hud was also making it difficult to judge whether my stop or the red signal came first.

the only solution so far I’ve found was to have all 3 huds on the right activated (signal aspect/speed limit/look ahead hud) but that is really quite a clutter

I think I’m going to continue with ECML tomorrow and give feedback in the thread tomorrow night, then Austria the day after and US after that, then Vectron after, I will also look to include general feedback at some point soon also

TSW 3 content will be accessible on full release...

I drove it for little bit over an hour on Vorarlberg, and so far, I'm quite satisfied.
Did the first jorney scenario, which is just a small hop from Lustenau to Bregenz, and then I did a timetable service from Lindau to Feldkirch.
The route looks nice, lot's of track side scenery (bushes, fencing..etc). The lake side area looks to be a nice representation of Bodensee (never been to Lindau, but I visited Friedrichshafen several times). Noticed nice ambient sounds in some occasions, sounds of bumping ships in harbor i.e.. Also the scenery nicely changes as you approach the mountains.

I like the new distance mountais with baked height maps, they look a lot better than previously (but still has room for improvements).
And I'm a BIG fan on the new hud, even for the few services I drove, it changed the way I drive, as I have to be more present in the train, and actually check the information from the train gauges.

I'm also loving the free roam feature. After I finished the service in Feldkirch I jumped on another track, spawned a vectron train and continued my jorney to Bludenz. Worked like a charm.
Also, from the short hop, I really liked what I saw of the vectron. Looks to be very well done, both the sounds and physics.

Yes, but you have to do a new calibration for it to work correctly. I realized that after running a service and had issues with the controls. Once I did the calibration, its fine.
Just got finished a class 66 service, 4E28, which is an early morning, like just prior to 3 am start, and experienced some major pauses, like in the near 1 second range. Did not see this on Antelope Valley run I did. My fps is still in the 40 -50 range, which is good with all sliders at their max. Should add, I really like the new min. HuD.
