Sorry for the second thread. I tried using my Xbox controller again in TSW 4 just in case I didn't do something right. Instead of the left or right on the d-pad opening the doors it takes me to an outside view. Pushing up on the D-pad brings me back in the cab. The right top bumper zooms in. You can look around but you cant do much else really. You can't switch between menu boxes in the main menu. I tried switching between classic and immersive gamepad controls but that did nothing. Its like the mouse and keyboard are on with partial gamepad support. I used this controller with TSW 3 and it didn't work like this. There should be a way to switch a gamepad on or off but if there is I can't find it. Anyway I will wait for an update hopefully soon. Thank You for any help.

What I needed to do was choose the game in Steam and go to controllers. Then in the box that says “use default setting” I choose “disable Steam input” and I then went into game and my Xbox controller now works on my PC. I’ve never messed with this setting on any other game but it fixed my issue. Thanks to DTG-Chris for the heads up.
