Following along with the editor preview video, after Will makes a flat floor he then rescales it in the properties panel. Is the scale set to 1000 on xyz axis? BTW, just like the video, my editor crashes when I lay my first piece of track!
No idea. I figured I would start out with flat terrain and use some of the tools first. So far I have some track laid. I have no idea how to setup a timetable and place a locomotive on the track for testing. I'm following Matt and Will's video.
