Would An Update For The Db Br 1442 Be Possible?

So short and narrow since Train sim World 3, I'm annoyed by the lighting and the sound of the vehicle, the light inside and so probably also outside is so damn bright that you think you're standing in front of God's gate


There must be a solution on how to get this under control

The then called preservation team tried to copy and paste the new 442 sounds to the 1442 and it failed miserably. They said that in order for it to work, the entire train has to be rebuilt. So it's not just a matter of adding new sounds in. Rapid transit is a really old dlc and how routes are built now are very different.

When DTG ist Not able to fix this Train, another idea would be to copy the Talent 2 from Dresden-Riesa and simply put the Livery from the RapidTransit Talent2 on it. Even if they don't have the same Interior, I think a high Numbers of Players wouldn't mind.

 

The 1442 is a completely different configuration, and in all honesty, RT has never been a very popular route so I can see why DTG wouldn’t go through the trouble of sorting this train out.

Im not saying they shouldn’t fix it & it’s excusable, but simply taking the existing 442 & making it silver is not a good fix.

 

If DTG is really not able to fix the RT-Talent 2, I think this is a simple and cheap method to at least fix this Route, DTG doesn't need to delete the old Talent 2.

People still playing RT with its highly broken 1442 are mentally tough. I can’t remember how many times it was supposed to be really fixed but it wasn’t the case, the 1442 is terrible to play and DTG don’t have the time to “refurbish” it in the same level of quality as the 442. I think many people just bought/use it just for the BR182.

It's not something they can just do in a single day and it's all fixed. It's not as simple as that. It requires a significant amount of work to bring the 1442 to now standards

 

Best chance might be if a route around Leipzig releases sometime in the future, they may put some effort in to bring the 1442 silver up to date as a secondary loco, and replace the older one with the newer on Rapid Transit.

 

Please write in a single post. DTG won’t update that route anymore it’s an old one built with different techniques. It dates back from TSW OG 2018
