So I was playing TSW4 on the Ecml route on the Azuma with the safety systems enabled and I passed a signal at caution which triggered an AWS. I then pressed the circle button (i am on playstation) and it didnt cancel ( though the volume was pretty quiet) and i got penalty braked. Since when was the Aws cancel not binded to circle?
Happening to me too on PS5 so far every train AWS not registering with circle. Also when on outside view I have to push down on right thumb stick multiple times to get back to cab view.
I had that same camera thing, I ended up using my keyboard to do it and disabling the safety systems. For some reason as well, the route keeps trying to get me to chase yellows, as the double yellows change back up to green just before I pass but I dont think there was a train in front.
at any rate, if we're both traveling at 125 mph I don't see how i keep catching up to cause the yellows
I have the same problem on my controller, sometimes you get lucky other times pressing down on right joystick does not take you outside or back into cab. Ended up in using my Bluetooth keyboard where you get a better responce.
In reality the sound of the AWS alarms should come thru when we are facing towards the track in the cab. ie centre, if you turn to the left then you can hear the AWS, it could be implemented better so we can hear it and respond. It only gives you about 1 second before it kicks in, I have had the same problem as you folks, and it is very frustrating.
Signals are yellow whenever you approach a level crossing which hasn't lowered it's gates yet, they then lower which gives you a green.
I think the team need to sort out these broken gamepad controls. Some keys are not working as advertised, namely the analog stick buttons. L3 on classic controls no longer speeds the camera up and R3 on immersion is giving inconsistent results.
ah, makes sense, though surely on such a high speed line as this is they wouldn't be lowering so soon to a train approach?
I was surprised that there are railroad crossings on the high-speed line. A collision with a truck could cause a major railway accident.
pretty sure there have been a few incidents, though not on this stretch, ufton nervet comes to mind as well as selby, though selby wasnt due to a level crossing
