Following along with the recent editor demo video Matt and Will did, I am using their example TT to place a loco on the map, drive it around my sandbox route and that works fine. Are there settings that would allow quicker direct control of the locomotive? For example, like there is with an in game TT where the player starts in the drivers seat and can take control immediately with keyboard shortcuts. I'm just looking for the quickest way to transition from the editing window to the PIE window with a drivable loco to test track.
Somewhere in the settings there's a "default service" - so if you set the time correctly, and run it, you'll spawn already in control of that service. I can't remember where it is off hand though. When i'm testing though often forget that and just set the time to 1 minute before the service starts (ts2.dbg.setlocaldatetime hh mm ss) then jump to the place just next to where it will start, then set it to use "current camera location" and NOT default camera location. Then start play in editor - and you can get on and go. Matt.
In the Editor preferences, Train Sim World part there is a Initial Service, I'm not sure if that's what your referring to ?
