I didn't want the thread to become cluttered with non questions and opinions and my interjection was made in response to a succession of posts formed of opinions from non dtg users. Perhaps you'd like to comment on those posts with the same vigour, otherwise I might perceive this as a personal attack. Otherwise I agree. Let DTG sort out the mess.
Good work has been done on TSW4 and plenty of good questions have been asked there. Mine is this; Matt alluded to a checklist to drive consistency previously and some good suggestions were put forward. Has any progress been made with it? I would ask, as far as is possible, that a real effort is made with TSW4 to cut out needless errors and double down on consistency going forward. As an example I was a bit disappointed that on the new TSW4 routes we have seen, yet again, blue flashes and bizarre lighting in some (critically not all) tunnels, rain effects not making it on to windscreens, blanking GSM-R’s, a (still) broken save game feature and so on. We know that in many instances this sort of thing doesn’t happen which makes it all the more frustrating when something slips through the net. In a nutshell, what efforts are being made to drive a consistently high standard of work and ensure that silly errors and omissions are eliminated entirely, once and for all?
I have two questions regarding xbox. Firstly, is there any further progress to share on the xbox audio improvement? Secondly, will the team be looking at the flickering cab textures that have been around since TSW 2? Thank you
Will we get the fast moving camera in external view (by pressing L3) back. Without that virtual railfanning is nearly impossible.
The top priority are stutters. When will you fix the stutters? I don't care about bugs, STUTTERS ARE THE PRIORITY, it's no longer possible, you've been telling us for 4 years that you're going to fix the stutters!!!!! DO IT PLEASE Switch to directX 12.
Can we have pictures of the trains we choose to spawn in free roam please. Looking at endless train numbers and not really knowing what they are unless your a train buff is mind boggling
Will the flexibility of Free Roam be coming to scenario planner? For example, the ability to set the start and end points of a service at any point on the map rather than just stations?
DTG Alex Hmm I would really like to know who, or what has nobbled the stability of Xbox loading? Today I have attempted, and failed to load TSW 4 on X Box Series X on multiple occasions. To put into perspective when TSW 4 launched I didn’t have any start up issues and was chuffed as a badger . Now a week further on down the line I’ve got the hump, big time! Since 10:00 03/10 I have attempted 12 times to load TSW 4. After the load crashed on the second splash screen I decided to uninstall and do the dreaded reinstall of everything. Well I got beyond the loading circle of hell once. On that one occasion half of my DLC decided not to be recognised and was being prompted to part with my hard earned cash once again. Deciding my bank, child and wife (not necessarily in that order) would flip out if I decided to gift DTG more money for the same content I refrained from it, sorry guys! To be honest it is getting annoying that only 1 in 12 attempts actually results in the game being loaded but that one occasion sees a considerable amount of content not being recognised. Please can you look into what is going on with regards to the X Box platform before I go stark raving . Many thanks

It's been broken for a week now since it came out of early access unfortunately, there is a workaround, but it is somewhat time consuming. And now, we have the likes of Assassin's Creed Mirage and Forza Motorsport launching this week, and the following weeks and months are jammed with some great looking releases, I really would have liked to be able to play TSW4 for the last week as much as possible, but that just hasn't been the case, as DTG seriously dropped the ball on the Xbox launch...
Can you change the livery designer projection slider back to a completely free slider, instead of increments of 100? It makes painting handrails very difficult
Does the DB BR 642 have realistic audios recorded from the train itself, or should we expect artificial sounds which are as close to the real product as possible? (sincerely someone who forever loves the DB BR 642)
I'm glad to see that routes are back to being £24.99,will this be permanent or just a one off. Edit: one more question with the post release update what time will that be available?
Unlikely to be possible, I'm afraid. Update is going through the platforms now, hopeful this afternoon, but if not, tomorrow.
I noticed TSW3 patching wasn't mentioned at all on this roadmap. I guess it's a step forward not stringing you along as I was for a year.
We don't have news on it - essentially, we're a week outside of TSW4's launch, so it's not something that we're focusing on at the moment. Plus, we want to ensure that - in the example of Trenton, for instance - that the experience in TSW4 is as good as possible before we backport it.
Br 642 look interesting and fun to drive it's the second Siemens Desiro in-game now as well as the second German passenger diesel, I hope it's as good as the 612.
is it possible in scenario planner to give instructions like start at A drive to B sidings and pick up 12 wagons then dive to c and drop off wagons in the siding. in siding C pick up 10 tanks and take to d and finish.

On the roadmap there is a new loco pack from a new partner under both 4-6 and 6+ months. Is this 2 different packs, or the same pack put into both categories in case it takes longer than expected?
The Roadmap looks good but a couple of sundry items to consider... 1. Are there any further sound improvements forthcoming for the 801/Azuma, still very quiet in cab. It also seems to have lost the very welcome reverb effect that was added to two out of the three new TSW4 routes. 1a. Any plans to backdate other routes/trains with reverb and why was it not included on Vorarlberg? 2. The new content is welcome as always, but the concern has to be without the Preservation Crew this further dilutes the staff resources to fix and generally pamper the older content which, maybe rather cynically, gets regarded in some eyes as (paid for) abandonware. 3. Have Rivet been told to raise their game in regard to the quality of their content? 4. Not for me personally (well PC at least but maybe on PS5) any plans to add any of the new DLC as part of a TSW4 starter pack? 5. Has the issue of the TSW4 starter packs not openly showing on the PSN on console store been addressed by Sony? Thank you.
You're on PC right? I think Jetwash said the same thing. I'm on ps4 and it's still there, just quieter because the cab sounds have increases in volume, the sound remains unchanged outside though.
Could the upcoming route Maintalbahn (DB BR 642 loco) be layered to any German Modern routes in the future once it released including the Main Spessart Bahn pending on what service they run it in real life?
Mine include some further discusson on why mods dont work now, what work is going into supporting mods due to them now being mostly broken and unable to be fixed or reworked, including how currently editor stuff cant be exported. Also the article talks like there will be no reworks to the new OHLE as it currently looks horrible, to thick, wrong colour (black) and repeating textures. Even tho this feature has been said to be an improvement its far from it, with the article sounding like no updates are being made anytime soon to it. Lastly its related to ongoing bugs carried across from TSW3, what are the plans for these such as the AI pis bug and others which others talk about alot.
Two questions about Maintalbahn: Could you please look at changing the livery on the 363? The blue livery is unrealistic again for this modern era (again, as for DRA and DCZ). It is getting a bit much now. Any fixes planned for PIS on the trains? We can see in the screenshots agsin as in routes in game, that the board itself lights up bright, which is completely wrong.
My apologies if I haven't been following properly as it may have already happened. I believe there is an update waiting for the Flying Scotsman sounds that had a more recent recording session to be implemented in to the game. It hasn't been mentioned in the roadmap. Thank you
Will the Class 801 get fixed (That isn't issued in the roadmap) The DSD going off while the Reverser in Neutral. Find it really annoying having to turn it off when wanting to explore around at a station. Had Crashes with the 2 hour 50 minute freight train 50 minute in the Journey.
One more question for the roadmap. Given the disappointment with train audio in recent releases, how have the 642 sounds been sourced? Authentic recordings from the train or fudged together from bits and pieces?
