Xbox Formation Designer - Your Plans

All of your ideas and contraptions for the upcoming Formation Designer go in this thread!

Remember you can only put locomotives with suitable coaches/wagons and you have a 100 wagon limit so be careful with your designs.

 

I will do DB BR 182 Red + 3VVO Dostos + 1 VVO Dostos CabCar first. After that, probably a lot with the N-Wagen from Bremen-Oldenburg

A formation of all possible german locos behind each other
some locos with the TGV Duplex middle cars
Steam locos and various different passenger cars
many other unusual formations
coupling up as many EMUs with the same coupler type as possible to make absolute mayhem chaos out of rail vehicles

Making US freight consists that look much more realistic than what DTG offers.

 

An ability to create formations from individual vehicles - including those within multiple units - which the formation designer can't do, at present.

 

Trying Pbz formations with German trains

 

I should add that I'm using a PC mod that unlocks Formation Designer; hence, I know you can't make up formations from individual multiple unit vehicles.

 

- Br 143 with n-Wagen (hopefully the doors can be controlled then).
- Br 112 with IC coaches and if specific liveries can be selected then a ÖBB 1116 from creators club with them as well.
- Lots of static freight consists for being shunted and later picked up in free roam (hopefully static consists are possible).
- Freight consists that make use of the rather less used wagons.

 

1. 8f and 40-50 mineral wagons
2. Flying Scotsman and 50 mk1s
3. Jubilee freight train (not decided which ones)
4. 4f with 20 mk1s
5. 37/7 with 12 mk1s/mk2s

That's my top 5 I think

 

Good luck trying Scotsman with 50 MK1s, but it won’t get very far. Doubt the 4f will manage 20 tbf either

 

I tried the 4f with 15 mk1s and she ran at 35 mph lol
The most I've tried the Flying Scotsman with 35 mk1s before
But touch wood and fingers crossed

 

The Doors can be controlled from any Train as long as the direction lever in the N-Wagen CabCar is plugged in and set to Neutral. I found this out in FreeRoam.

 

I hope we can also use the Trains from kassel-Würzburg that were there for AI Service. Especially the Dostos
