What if a new MSB could be built from Aschaffenburg to Darmstadt or further with a separate line to be included to Frankfurt. ( I am not asking for an extension to MSB as that might be too hard) Could run S-bahn services. Also could have several branches as well. Please be nice I know very little of train operations in Germany let alone MSB and Frankfurt. I'm just enjoying it and Miltenberg is an awesome piece of news!! Brilliant!! I know it would be a separate route to MSB, the suggestion above. Also I am wondering with the new features in TSW4 if MSB can be fully upgraded so the hills/mountains can be seen? I know there aren't really mountains and will leave it to DTG to decide. I saw a video on youtube from Ian Poole of real trains and looks like a 422 at Aschaffenburg. I am wondering, is that an S-bahn service from Frankfurt? And going to? Or vice versa. Having several branches of at least 5-15km in length would make things really interesting!!! And yes I'm going to buy the BR204 shunting loco so I can go to the port in MSB... https://store.steampowered.com/app/...ible_DB_BR_204_AddOn/?curator_clanid=44534860
With the routes like kassel würzburg, the coming maintalbahn, it would be a slap into the face to not combine them, but insted going a - b again. Msb has canceled the support locomotive on the steep gradient because the new tunnel. A rubuild of the route as it is in tsw would be good. (New brake system etc)
This would be nice but highly unlikely. DTG don't normally go back and extend, connect and go back to improve scenery of previous routes.
I'd like a bit of extra scenery. It seems to be missing scenery like between Hosbach and Laufach. The Northern Trans Penine also has some missing scenery (or a slight lack of) between about 10 km out of Manchester for a few kilometres.
They have done so for a number a routes. Ruhr Sieg Nord for example. The preservation crew have done an amazing job on quite a few. I think Sand Patch as well.
With the release of the Editor, enhancing routes is now a thing for modders. DTG should focus on adding new routes instead of revisiting older ones I think.
True but unfortunately they got rid of the preservation crew. That was a mistake in my opinion since it means that previous routes will just be forgotten about and rot with the odd patch here and there Yes there is an editor, but most players can't use it since it's PC only and console players won't be able to get route enhancements unless DTG choose to do so
I'd love that, MSB still has a special place in my heart. There's alot of opportunity within that area. I wouldn't even mind an MSB remaster with the New Tunnel and the EMU rolling stock.
Route enhancements are purely limited to placing new objects, not improving or replacing existing ones. You couldn't properly change it to ToD4 for example, or extend it.
Can you tell me more about the new tunnel and the EMUs? I wonder what year is the TSW version of MSB set in?? I think the new tunnel was finished in 2017 or 18?
It is just a thought. The preservation crew did an amazing job with the routes they did. I am quite happy actually, but just an idea!
What is suited is Main Spessart Bahn Frankfurt/Darmstadt-Gemunden Wurzburg with ICE Nightjet using nantenbacherkurve mentioned by Lukas on a Stream towards KWG and then Maintalbahn for DMU/Diesel trains.
Indeed it was completed in 2017. It feels much more empty I feel with all the concrete than the old Heigenbrücken Bahnhof but oh well, it is more efficient. As for the EMU, it is the DB BR 446 or Bombardier Twindexx Vario. They are becoming increasingly common in Germany, I would love one of these honestly.
I'd just like this and Northern Trans Penine to get a scenery update. Specifically a few locales where it is light scenery I doubt DTG will make a new route. But anything is possible. Laufach and Hosbach and a few parts could use some extra scenery. I'm wondering if the hills around it could receive the new TSW4 treatment.
Improving old routes is not a task meant for the users to do, at least not for a premium price tag. The (Beta) PC Editor also has some bugs and things which need to be improved yet, what DTG said they would do (but who knows if this happens). Last but not least, the developers stated themselves that the Editor is hard to use and there isn't enough information available from them yet to dive deeper into it. For saying "Let's go people, create your own routes!" it's far too early. Lol, They are literally exactly doing this for the last years. I don't like the idea of create & abandon just to generate more and more money. They trying to do some old enhancements but still it is very less in comparison what other developers do with their old content even for less up to no extra costs of charge.
or a BR 111 is possible therre was doppelstockwagen with 2 br 111 one in front and a another in rear in real life on MSB
