Whenever I play tsw4 the camera always seems to fall back freely whilst playing. This is really frustrating because it is distracting while driving and just ruins the game in general. Any reason for this?
Hello, I'd like to help - is it possible to get a short recording of this camera experience? Can I also ask what game platform you are playing on please
Alex, this has been reported multiple times here and it's a collision thing that your coder Will is aware of.
The issues that Will were investigating seemingly related more to tunnels I believe, but I know he is investigating the camera and related reports. Thank you
I am on Xbox. It’s hard to get a recording because it doesn’t do it very frequently. Sorry for the delayed reply as I was at school
Is this on Most Of The Steam Locomotives While using the head out camera option where the camera doesn't work and acts like it's collided with something? (In The Immersion Control Scheme) I've Had this issue on the 8F And Jubilee (Both On Peak Forest & Spirit Of Steam) Since the Steam physics update back in TSW3 and its passed over to TSW4 too, worth mentioning the issue is present on Flying Scotsman too The 4F seems to be the exception to this, as the head out camera still works on this loco. (I'm On PS5)
Another Seperate but related bug is The Free Camera Speed Up Option not working in the classic control scheme (ie what you use to get ahead of the train at speed to get a fly-by perspective) This Does not work for me on TSW4 and hasn't since release/early access, the camera doesn't speed up when holding R3 (PS5) it just doesn't respond I am experiencing this issue on PS5 But I have seen others report this issue elsewhere on these forums who are Xbox Players.
Well I tried uploading the link from my photos app and said I couldn’t because it wasn’t media so I can’t
Yeah same, hope these issues are fixed, I know their relatively minor but there ruining the game for me at the moment
Just noticed, this camera bug is not just tsw4, it is happening on games like Forza horizon 5 so let Xbox deal with it dovetail!!!
It was actually my dodgy controller after all. I’m using a different one now an the camera seems to be acting fine! Dovetail don’t bother looking into this
Tried uploading a video from my PS app but to no avail. It seems to register my settings as though its the classic controls or something and has a free floating camera. Had to manually go into settings and change. Additionally, unrelated sort of: it's also changing the control schemes for every service I run. Have to once again manually change it
