With the German holiday island of Lindau being hugely popular with Austrian tourists, DB has operated a few extra services between here and Bludenz via Bregenz and Feldkirch. Obviously, with the normal German routes to Lindau Hbf being unelectrified and served only by DMUs, therefore a pair of Vectrons have been leased, while the coaching stock - consisting of surplus dosto and n-Wagen coaches - was ferried to Lindau via a DB BR 363.

The service arrives at Lindau Hbf. It features top-and-tail Vectrons while, from left-to-right, is formed of two n-Wagen coaches, three Dresden S-Bahn Dosto coaches, another single n-Wagen coach and three DB Traffic Red Dosto coaches (plus cab car, which if you note, is facing towards the furthest n-Wagen coach).

Union Pacific Railroad AC4400CWs 5681 and 6507 roll through rural Idaho in the US with a manifest train. Dead in tow are Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority F40PH-3C 1063 and Caltrain F40PH-2CAT 917. They have just been overhauled at MotivePower's facility in Boise. Soon the pair will be split up to head to their usual operating environments on the East Coast and West Coast, respectively.

West Somerset Railway Class 52 D 1010 Western Campaigner spits clag as she leads DB Cargo Class 66 203 into the yard in Acton in the UK. The Class 52 was added to service 6M91 at Theale to test its mainline capability hauling a heavy load before a planned railtour. Clearly, it has done well, with the Class 66 remaining idle for the forty-mile journey.
