Thought it would be a nice idea to have a thread were we can share our scenarios we have played so others can enjoy them as well as so many places to download them from there will be plenty of hidden gems others may not be aware off. polite request to keep the thread on topic please. I am currently playing through this one on ATS by MattyJT02 completed part one and moving on to part 2 and 3 really enjoying it excellent realistic AI used. https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/mjt-1u45-1746-london-euston-crewe-full-journey/
I've highly enjoyed Coasty's scenarios (Workshop). Cinematic action, lots of added scenery, and traffic is awesome. Play the "Busy Monday on Woodhead Line" series and you'll understand what I mean. These are some of the best and most well choreographed scenarios available for TSC - nothing like your standard DLC scenarios... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=771297953 From the description: "Busy Monday on Woodhead Line" is a series of 6 scenarios where you complete a (virtual) working day by driving a Class-37-Diesel. Each scenario starts where the previous one has ended - until you are back in Manchester in the afternoon. If you like the English railway (and landscape) and you are sometimes a bit bored just to bring passengers from A to B or ride on an endless single track route, then you may give this set of scenarios a try as it's a combination of various activities while discovering the whole Woodhead route and even areas away from the main track - hence, not much time for being bored. In Part-1 you start in Manchester early in the morning, follow the activities your Dispatcher gives you and proceed to a shunting area close to Dinting.Besides the activities you have to accomplish, watch the signals as there`s quite a bit of traffic along your way- so, a 'normal' Monday morning... Usual workshop caveats: Don't mass subscribe, wait for each scenario to be installed before subscribing to the next one or file corruption may occur.
I heartily concur with Spike's recommendation of Coasty scenarios ... he's definitely one of the best. If you want to feel like you have actually gone to work and done a day's job his scenarios are simply superb. Two other authors I'd recommend in the same vein are Steve Van Epps and pjohnandlyns. Steve's scenarios are jam packed with AI and remarkable action. For starters I'd recommend his Horseshoe Curve Johnstown to AR Tower (a 2-part series of scenarios). All of Steve's scenarios date from around a decade ago, so you are likely to have the required DLC if you have US/Canadian assets. One caveat: Steve's scenarios are designed for maximum fun; they aren't the most prototypical of scenarios. Like me, Steve likes trains - lots and lots of them, both on the mainlines (HSC has 4) and in the yards (the Altoona yard is literally chock full of wagons to the point that orientation can be quite befuddling). That is not a problem for me; your mileage may vary. pjohnandlyns does almost exclusively UK-based scenarios, and an excellent introduction to his oeuvre is his "Hoover Swansong" on the venerable Oxford-Paddington route. You begin in a yard picking up your loco (a Class 50) and first fueling up, then running light to another yard for some work. That's just the beginning; you've got a lot of shunting to do but you'll be visiting a broad stretch of the route's yards by the time you are done. If you tart up the route with AP weather and the track EP files you'd be surprised how good the route can look. That is, if you have time to break your concentration in the scenario to bother to look!
Bill Dalton has made this FANTASTIC scenario for the Class 37 over on ATS along the North London and Goblin Lines Route https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/1z35-1216-barking-to-bletchley-tmd-silverlink-swansong-no-1/
