    Hi There,

Just a couple of questions from me re Scenario Creation in the Editor that I can't seem to get my head around.

    1) Is there anyway to limit the maximum speed of the player service within a scenario?
(I can see some selectable functions with speed limits but, so far, no one them seem to do anything for me). I have an engineering train starting at Newhaven Marine and I'd like it to be limited to 40 mph if possible.

    2) Can you make custom formations in the Editor which you can then use in a editor viewable scenario?
For reasons that will eventually be connected with my proposed test route I'd like to have a 5-car Bakerloo 72 stock formation but I can't fathom out how to do it. (Also there appears to be many BKR rvd files to pick from and choosing the right one seems quite tricky as I don't understand some of the file naming protocols used).

Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks.

    David

Yes! Create a Data Asset somewhere in your Plugin, then when it asks you to select the Data Asset Type, search for and select "TrainFormation".

Name, save, then open it. You can add items to the Train > Formation array. Expand each entry to select vehicles (both individual vehicles or other formations).

You will need to experiment to figure out which RVDs to combine to make the train you want though, sorry. Looking for the "Friendly Name" in the tooltip when you hover over the RVD could help though. If you want to try and make a new combination of individual cars of a multiple unit, you can probably ignore anything that has a friendly name at all :`)

If you use blueprints I.E. a child of ScenarioManagerBP, there’s an ObjectiveAction you can add (I’m not at my pc so can’t give exact names) that allows you to add an action to require the player increase/decrease speed to a threshold level which you could mark as successful if they maintain that speed for a specific amount of time e.g. 5 seconds…

id like to try this out for temporary speed restrictions…

however this doesn’t change the speed limit as associated with the track itself. Meaning that once a player has reduced/increased speed and the objective has ‘succeeded’ they could then increase/decrease their speed again…

Regarding changing the speed limit itself I.e. on the track itself… I’ve been looking to see if you can do these kinds of modifications using ScenarioTiles as I would also like to try killing the overheads for a scenario as well however haven’t had time to try this yet… I don’t even know if it’s possible to make these changes in STs (however I know some official released DTG Scenarios which have killed overheads so it is possible tho may been done another way)

if anyone has tried this please share your results

Not quite what I was aiming for but it does nicely demonstrate that I can now create custom formations :D
(I do now have correct 3-car, 4-car and 5-car versions of the 1972 stock in silver).
Thanks very much for the help.
